the rc8.2 looks like the rc8b with the worlds upgrades and a punisher body. liverc.com has a video of scotty ernst interviewing brent thielke and talking about it. @the guy who just bought one, don't worry, only a few hundred bucks and it'll last you until the rc8.2 version 2 edition 1 volume A comes out next september

If you buy the Rc8be from tower for 369... add in the $100 3mm longer chassis, and put on all of the worlds upgrades and aluminum hop ups you're running around the same price as buying the Rc8.2 Nito version and converting it to an electric kit. AE has figured out how to sell us every upgrade they offer for the RC8b(e) in a single package for the same exact price.
I hate how they come out with a new friggin car all the time. I think they should keep pace with game system console's.

I just picked up an RC8 and after doing much reading it sounds like the RC8B will handle even better. I read that the B has some sort of steering linkage change? What does this change affect? I found this assembly:

Is this the B assembly? I also noticed that they came out with the RC8.2. Somewhere my friend found a kit that includes all the parts to upgrade a RC8B to an RC8.2. Anybody seen this? Will it fit the RC8? What parts from the B make the biggest diffrence in handling when added to the RC8?

. Haha.. Sorry, never been a fan of flames on anything other than a roasting marshmallow.I too had decals on my wing at first. If you run on a track and pull a few cartwheels or flip her over a few times, those decals will look like shit in due time. I don't even bother with them anymore:

this is going to go over like a fart in church, but anyway....
I need to convert my "E" back to nitro. The "E" class here is dead, if I want to run and have it matter I need to learn to race nitro.
Any of y'all got all the nitro parts lying around? if so pm me...

Boy that was a lot of reading! Thanks everyone for all the great info. Picked up a RC8Be about 2.5 months ago and have been loving it.
Knowing I was due for my first major maintenance, I picked up SNR graphite's +3mm chassis (Thanks Steve) and world towers, AL stub axels, and cups, new steering posts, AL standoff's, Ti hinge pins, and other assorted goodies for the extended maintenance. For all the light weight bits, my goal is to weight the kit part and the replacement lighter part and post it for those that are obsessed with lightness. I'm under no delusion that lighter is going to be stronger, all I need is strong enough, and if not, well I will put the steel back in.
As far as the upgraded suspension kit goes I have a few questions.
1. I picked up I have to use the servo link rod ends to extend the shocks (awesome idea), am I going to use the metal ball joint to help prevent the screw ripping through? From pictures it doesn't look like it but want to make sure.
2. In the description of the kit it states modified front and rear upper and
lower control arms, are the front uppers really different and how?
Thanks again
