RC10B4.1 FT/WC
This is a hard question because people are running lots of different things.
My suggestion would be to get 4 pairs,
Red Fronts
Orange Fronts
White Rears
Yellow Rears
Some people may run silver fronts or pink rears but these are rates that are quite different from what people ran while using AE springs and the above springs will get you dialed in at 99% of tracks around the US.

There is no answer to which Losi springs you want to run. That's what's frustrating more than anything. I looked at the KY springs they are running and they are way harder than anything we would normally run.
The numbers don't translate correctly across companies and it's getting old chasing setups because of that.
If you put a gun to my head, orange and yellow will work everywhere. Other springs will feel better at certain times but then 1 run later they will feel worse. orange and yellow are the best balance IMO, but I don't necessarily believe they are the fastest.
I tested this now for the last 2-3 months back and forth and honestly all it has done is slow me down. I would have been faster if I focused on driving the line properly and proper throttle management rather than overthinking what will happen if I put this spring on...

Best way is to try everything yourself..not everybody on these forums are credible..pink rears? Really? Just try stuff out or talk to local fast guys..plus you learn a lot more by testing it out yourself

IMO, alot of people need to learn how to feel what the car is doing or not doing. Along with, knowing how you want a car to drive, and make it drive that way.
Example, i can put 3 different batteries in my car and instantly tell which one it is. I tell others to do this or that and they tell me no difference, that surprises me. Because it may be subtle, but you should be able to tell a 250 gram battery, versus a 300 gram one. Then the shorty at 200 grams.
BB springs, Losi's in general, give the car a lot more stability, and consistency, a vast improvement. It may not show in lap times necessarily, but it shows in how many of the fast laps you can rattle off.
I just got the GHEA pistons, and ordered Yokomo springs. Cant wait for them to arrive to see how the handle, but thats what i enjoy now days.
Just my opinions, Krom.

For people looking to make the car better BB's are the only way to go, for people looking to go fast they are likely not required.

Well I have given the BB springs a good run and with that said, I'm going back to stock AE springs. I have found that I'm quicker on them. I'm not knocking them or saying they aren't good. Just saying that after 2-3 months of playing back and forth, I am faster with std springs.
Maybe this will all change with the BB shock. Until then, I'll stick with std springs.

i run the losi yellows and red fronts with a pro match shorty,i went to a new track and they had a a good size triple step down and some rythem sections,i over shot the triple step a few times and it landed awesome, screwed up in the rythem sections and the car was still stable landing on top of the jumps, and also with that shorty pack this car is really quick to get up and go with the less weight, added a 1/2oz up front under the servo horn and the car was money.I personally don't think id ever go back to a full size lipo now.I made it to the a-main and qual 5th,in the main i had 3rd for pretty much the hole race and made a few mistakes at the end and got passed and ended up 4th,but from my 1stqual to my main i made up a whole lap and some, really stoked on this car!

I would have to disagree with the BB springs being a "flavor of the week mod" as you so seem to describe them as. As Krom pointed out and Barry has pointed out in his previous posts, the thing about the BB springs is that they are not going to make you "faster" persay but they have a very strong chance of making your car better off overall. To me this is more like an evolution then a FTW mod. Like Barry I think my car might have been a hair slower with the BB springs on the fast lap, but I can say with 100% confidence that I enjoyed driving it a whole lot more and it made the car better and as a result it made me better.

I KNOW (and so do most others) that practice will make just about any normal RC racer 'faster', if for no other reason than building reflex/muscle and sight picture memory for success.
