RC10B4.1 FT/WC
Got my 8mm chassis and converted it over, only took like 15 min. Took it out not really thinking it would make a big difference... well I am sold, this along with the Losi BB spring mod makes me want to keep it. To be honest I wanted a DEX210 but after doing those 2 mods this thing is on rails and I may just stay with the B4.1.
Anyone thinking its not that big of a difference... and is on the fence about doing the mods. Do it!!! it is worth the money. You can run your stock body for a while, I got a Finnisher body but its not painted up yet, so running the stock.

Saturday i raced with losi pink rear and orange front springs, finished badly due to popping a brand new RPM ball cup
. Sunday while practicing i switched to associated silver rear and brown front, the car felt noticeably BETTER through the sweeper and turned just as well if not better in the infield. I will give the BB springs another shot in back to back testing(i run once a week, track is too far away), i'll try orange front and yellow rears but idk, seems i never have enough steering until i go to a shot front foam, then steering is twitchy and hard to stay on a line.

Silver and Pink
Orange and Yellow
Red and White
I've never seen Pink work with anything but Silver.
Silver should be your starting point for std packs.
Pink for higher bite, Yellow for med, white for low bite
Orange and Yellow are what I normally run on a low bite rough surface.
Red/White combo is more for shorty pack or extremely loose conditions.
Try different combos and see how you like them.

you had a very unbalanced combo for the BB springs.

Hmm...Noticed Brian Shook was running that spring combo. Running stock seems to require more steering, my back end is too locked in with the yellows even, but i'll give this a try thursday at 4S if i can make it. What foam combo do you prefer? I've been running AKA red rear and PL closed cell front but will be going back to cut rear foams stuffed in the front, gold barcodes all 4 heavily sauced. Will back off the saucing on this new set of kicks though

ALSO! i notice my car slaps hard on the table with the silver and yellow tlr springs. also doesn't go fast at the sweepers to!....I loved dk yellow kyosho standard all around but I'm waiting on white and gold bb k to come. I notice they are way better then losi.

Most use the Pro-Line blue for rear . For ft tire, use a full standard rear foam, no trim ...
* Tire grip before every run
* don't forget to vent outside of the tire on the rear tire when using close cell foam.
TLR5095 Lower cups. Last I checked were on back order
You can use the cups that come in the traxxas kit but you will need to drill out the mounting hole a little to fit over the shaft eyelet.
If I sell my B44.1 without the BB springs I will have a extra set. IF you are going to be at One Hobbies this weekend

For $20 shipped to your door I can send you alum collars that will allow you to use your stock tops and bottoms.
The picture shows the collars with a Losi bottom but they fit well on the AE bottoms... I can take pic's of them on all of my vehicles...

For those of you running velcro on your bodies, have any of you just eliminated the rear tab that normally goes over the pin for the body clip? A buddy of mine bought a used b4.1 and they had it cut clean in the back with no tab, and in my eyes seems it would work well. I'm still using body clips but eventually that tab starts to crack off, my dad has velcro but still has the tab with no clip and it seems to slowly be cracking a bit too. I have a body being painted by a local guy and I plan to actually take care of it and thought about removing the tab to help it last a tad bit longer, any one else do this?
