I haven't added any weight yet, so that might help.
i know when i ran my shorty yellow/red that the front spring was almost all the way to the top, when i ran the full size lipo it was down 2-3 mm.

Mine only came with the big single spacer per side so my only sensible option was moving the carrier forward. I'll grab more spacers if the center position is standard. I can't find any clear information on carrier placement or it's use as a tuning option.
That is not a tuning option as far as forward / back. The carrier is meant to be ran in the back position (spacer in front) when running inline axles to maintain the correct wheelbase.

Default Springs

I am running Kyosho springs. White in front and gold in rear with Losi cups and the traxxas collars. I was a big improvement over the stock setup. I then put my Durango dex210 shocks on and the car was dialed. I am going to order another set of front shock bodies from durango to put in rear to correct the droop. This buggy is going to be so good when AE comes out with the Big Bores!

The big spacer goes behind the caster block in the front arms when you are using the "stock" trailing steering spindles.

One thing that zapped me when I converted was that I used RPM spring collars and didn't force them over the bottom of the AE threaded collars. This used up some of the real estate needed to get the ride height down far enough.
