Why is the front silver spring in kit so short? Is there an alternative for the silver spring?

Hello Im a new owner of a B4.1/T4.1 and im going to race pretty casual. I been looking over the boards but hard to find a definitive answer on what a good esc/motor system to use that wont break the bank? Im not one to go super cheap but the little I will be racing I really dont want alot of money tied up into two expensive systems. Any bargin options? Thanks.

Ok guys I need some insight. I recently reassembled my transmission. The diff is set correctly and broken in. I was trying to set the slipper using the method of holding the rear tires and using short bursts of throttle. The front end will not come off the table and sounds like it's slipping. I'm using the new V2 setup but had also tried the older setup and both had the same outcome. I've tried tightening down several times and the pads have no glazing. What else could it be?

Do you have a lot of top shaft threads showing outside of the slipper nut already?

I tried to set it like the directions 0.5mm of thread sticking out but that didn't work so I tightened to where there was alot showing but it still wouldn't work.

Take the slipper back off and make sure everything was seated properly and basically start over...if the diff is right, and not barking on the bench test, then I would just start all over again from the beginning. It's like, what's left?

Gearing? Too much ESC timing? 8.5 with good gearing and electronic timing should pull the front wheels.

Whats it sound like when you fully tighten the slipper, something has to give or the motor stalls out if the wheels aren't pulling up.

Gearing 81/22 using LRP SXX TC Ver.2 with X12 8.5T. Profiles setup per manual. Like I said on one of the first responses, it sounds like it's slipping but the wheels won't come off the table and the motor is not bogging down. Not sure what else it could be. I already had tore everything down and didn't find anything.
