RC10B4.1 FT/WC

Has anyone tried any big bore shocks on the t4.1? If so what did you use and how was it? Thanks.

Most run the B44.1 rear arms on the B4.1 because the B4.1 arms tend to be too soft and noodly. This is the conclusion after reading many discussions on this matter. Chris from AE has listed the same order as above. Others will tend to argue this matter.
Others have told me that the B44 are the softest, then the B4, then the carbon (firmest). Doesn't mean that's correct, but it would make sense for various reasons.

There is actually a 4th arm so to speak. It was the standard arm of the B4 and not the carbon. It's stiffer than the b44 but softer than the carbon.

softest to firmest.

B4.1
B44.1
B4 (older)
carbon.

it's all very confusing and AE needs to standardize on the a-arms.

so the stock arm is a little to soft? I run carbon anyway to take away some grip and steer more.....jst wondering.

What 17.5 motor would you all recommend for a FT b4.1 8mm running in a blinky class?

I run at a medium size indoor clay track. My Tekin 17.5 isn't fast enough to keep up with the fast guys at my track.

I make the A-main every time but never finish higher than 5th. Those guys are always pulling away from me, especially in the tight sections, and they won't share their secrets!

in case it matters, i have a very smooth driving style. Running 72/33.

FYI: I saw that one of them was running a revtech on Sunday but I have no idea about the rest.

Thoughts, suggestions?

try to put your epa on the radio or gear up if your car is running cool...

Does anyone have any issues with the steering bellcrank screws tightening up by themselves and binding up the steering? I have this issue on one of my SC10s. I don't have the issue with my B4.1 or my other SC10. Quite strange.... I had to take the front end apart twice in a week to loosen it up.

What temps are you getting? Gear it to the moon. I gear my 17.5 SC10 75/26-28 depending on the track. If it doesn't temp at 160 after 6 mins I'm not happy.

I'm in the 140s most nights after 6 minutes. Highest I've seen it so far is 148.

I'll gear up to 35 if I can wedge it in there but I think I'm going to give up too much low end with my Tekin if I do. Hence the motor questions.

X12, Boss 17.5, or RevTech. All torque monsters.

I don't think you have much to worry about on the B4.1. Give it a shot, it won't hurt.

When AE will get out whit a brand new 2WD and 4WD off road cars?
