I do have them, and have since they were only available on AE's site. What is frustrating about them is, the ballstud seems to come loose on tracks that seem to have a lot more turns one way than the other. The little aluminum lock nut vibrates loose and the ballstud starts moving around and that's no good. Would like to find some tiny lock washers and use the tiny flat nuts from AE with a drop of loctite to see if both sides will stay tight. Any idea's?

I temp at about 140ish max after a main or qualifier. Usually in the 130 range though.
I think 75/30 is perfect for the 13.5. I did temp at 160ish one time, but that was after a loooooooong practice run.
I gear my SC10 17.5 at 75/26. If I go anywhere beyond the 6-8 min mark, The temps rise above 160, so I try not to take more than 1 or 2 hot laps before the mains.

Hey guy's, i just started racing my T4.1 with a Tekin rs and a 17.5 with boost. My gearing right now is 20/87 and the motor seems pretty cool after a 7 min main. I was thinking of going to a 21 or 22 pinion, but a few have suggested going to something like 26/75. What do ya think?
Side note, it was my first race with this truck. Normaly i race expert truggy. I finished 4th in the main started last(12 in the class) The reason i started last was because i let my friend(expert nitro buggy driver) race the last qualifer instead of me, and he set tq! It wasn't right to use his tq so i told the race director and that i would start last. It was a blast!

Ok, I'm curious how everyone determines when and how much boost to use? For instance, does everyone find the correct FDR (Final Drive Ratio) for their specific vehichle and track they are racing on first, then add boost?

I recently boosted my B4.1 to 30 degrees using the same gearing I was using without boost, because it was temping pretty low 130-140. Now it temps at 150ish, just the way I like it.

Also remeber 120 degrees can feel very hot to the touch, I thought my esc and moter was ganna blow but it was 140 degrees. Just a pointer,to dirtracer.
