I have had an issue with all of my AE 2wd cars. The rack is binding when I tightening the top plate. If I back the screws off 1/2 - 1 turn, then it goes away. I dont really like the idea of backing screws off on parts that take a beating. I have tried to visually inspect the issue, but I do not see any wear marks on the chassis. I assume the upside down screws that mount to the rack are binding on the chassis and pressing on the rack. I could tighten those screws a little more more clearance, bu then the rack would bind from over tightening. Any thoughts?

Anyone have problems with blowing out the rear inner hub bearing? I have all stock parts except Jconcepts axle nut that tightens while driving. Other then that I take care of my car and have had this happen to a , losi 22 and hpi blitz. Any better bearings to put in there that won't kill the bank? Or a fix.
Like I said, everything is factory stock and all the parts are togeather right. B4.1 worlds

Use Avid bearings in the hubs. I dont know what brand you are using but the AE bearing or craptastic and explode. I had the same issue, then I put some avids in and fixed.

Put some locktite on the outer bearing race before you put it in. It will secure it alittle better. Boca Bearings are good too...

Honestly you would be better off buying a b4.2 kit and selling the parts you dont need on e-bay. That's what I plan on doing.

Panther sells tubes of 10 for $10. That's what I use. I've blown a lot of those out recently. A LOT. Probably like 15 (tranny, front wheels, rear axles.)

I think AE might have had a bad batch.

Tranny bearing? Outdrive bearings? I think a tube of avids are $10 also.
