RC10B4.1 FT/WC
limiters go under the piston, inside the shock body. Style of shock doesn't matter there, but you'll like the V2's overall
Has anyone had problems the rear turnbuckle hitting the new BB shock body's with the recommended spacers? I do have my rear hub forward but I still can't beleave my rear flexes 3/8" to hit the shock body.
I took out top spaces and shaved shock tower and seemed to fix this issue.
Yes we do have one bigger jump at my track and when over jumping it can be a harsh landing. Just shave the top tower and save you some problems.

So I finally got the rear end of my buggy locked down. So much so that it pulls the front end off the ground on the straights and elevation changes. Look at my set up and tell me if I am just wierd
or its close to what some of you are running. I just want to see where I stand to people who have been running 1/10 buggy for more than 2 months. Keep in mind this car was an B4 RTR that is now in the upgrade as I break it stage.
Front
35 wt oil, #1 pistons, middle hole on the tower, inner on the arm
camber link inner on the hub and inner on the tower with 1 washer
2* camber with soft JC 4 rib tires open cell foams
Rear
30 wt oil, #1 pistons, inner hole on the tower, inner on the arm
camber link on the outer hol of the hub, inner hole on the u-brace with 3 washers
1* camber, rear tires are now slicks, were M4 Fuzzies.
I am running a gear diff with 3k, 10.5 motor, RS Pro, 1.5 oz behind the battery and a full size pack.
I like the way it feels now. I can run it in hot and she will stick as long as Im in the groove. The track is extreamly high bite so everyone is running worn out bar style tires to slicks. Fastest lap is a 13.7 in a 4wd Buggy. My fastest seems to be a 14.7 and I average about a 15.8 for a six minute qual. If I can get a little more consistant, I my just end up with a win.
Anything look wierd to yall?

But it is fun to beat the guys who show up with the best of everything, latest and greatest and all the bling with my RTR.
I know where they go, I just didnt see any of them in there. I got the V2's just to make the re-building esier. And it looks a little less getto IMO.

Always the hardest thing to find is traction. I enjoy whipping the car around and not having to worry about it sliding. I tried saucing up the tires but it was way too much even for me. Until I start pushing on power, I plan on leaving it alone.

Where do you race? DRCW?

Your setup seems very soft for a high bite track. Normally when you go to slicks you want to stiffen things up. Running the inside hole on the front arm will give you a longer lever arm since there is a greater distance from the wheel to the bottom of the shock... making the front feel softer. Your link seems fine in the front but i'd try number 2 pistons MAYBE number 3 if the track has that much bite.
As far as the rear goes it seems a little bit soft as well. Your shock position seems fine but 30 weight with a number 1 piston seems a bit soft. Also the rear link seems WAYY too long. If you shorten it up you'll gain a lot more steering especially on entry and you wont have so much body roll throughout the corner.
Finally adding limiters all around will give you a more stable car on entry and a more aggressive car on exit.
Hope this helps.
