It should be the same, it is the same trans as a ball diff. Try cleaning / replacing the other gears. It should drop right in.

Actual hard wing:

It isn't light, but it is tough.

I think my rear tires are going to wear out the wing first. this was the first time at the track with it and it's already worn the paint off where they touch.

looking to join the club here. Picked up a B4.1 with a variety of worlds parts, as well as some kyosho velvet big bore shocks.

Planning to run this indoor carpet.

Few questions if you guys don't mind:

- What is a good starting setup to go with including tires?
- Any issues people have with running shorties or do people just run standard packs?
- Is the whole locked steering rack (avid, etc) still the hot ticket?

thanks before hand.

I have heard that there was a change in the housing in the sc10. Is this a b4.1 or worlds version you are doing this with?

Cain, avid rack or superglue the stocker is the hot ticket still.
I bet carpet will be different than clay with this car, I know petitrc has a few carpet setups on the site. Maybe give one of those a shot?
Probably end up with the 3.5 block or 4.0 rather than the 3.0 that is commonly used on clay.

I tried looking through the thread under search but I'm now running the big bores and was wondering if I should keep the losi springs since i have all the colors I was running before with the v2's .was using red fronts white rears .or should I change to a different color

Transmission gears wear as a set. Start mixing and matching gears from different transmissions and the noise and wear will not be good. Even something as seemingly trivial as putting the idler gear or diff in the other way around will cause the gears to wear more quickly and make the gearbox much noisier.

Paint is not really that resilient. Crashing is what kills wings.

With carpet being such a high bite condition he is going to want to run some front toe in and some hard compound tires up front, to calm down the aggressive steering. He is going to want less rear toe in to free up the car and help it rotate through the turns. The next stiffest springs all the way around, and oil that is 2.5 weight thicker than what he is running now. Lower the ride height by a few mm and add some limiters in the shocks to help limit all of the extra weight transfer from all of the extra up travel from the lower ride height.

It is best to leave the setup advice to those of us that know what we are talking about.

Disclaimer: I'm a nooB at this stuff..... now here goes!

I've got an SC10RS RTR

Also a B4.1 Worlds (kit)

Also a B4 kit that supposedly was upgraded to the B4.1 Worlds (but I don't know enough to say that for a fact)

Mission: to be sure all 3 RCs have ball diffs.

I bought an extra tranny that I know has a ball diff but needs to be rebuilt and was going to put it into one of the three that has a gear diff.... which one? dunno that part yet.

Help with setting up front end:

I'm rebuilding a used B4.1 Worlds. Both the front tires are pigeon-toed. I don't think this is right, so, which of the turnbuckles do I adjust in order to bring them in line?

Also, should I have any toe-in or camber?

Help is needed right away 'coz I'm going to be running tomorrow (first time)
