I think my original post on kit tires is being misunderstood. I said IF AE insists on including tires when the B5 is released, then they should offer a couple options. I agree with you Matt that I would prefer a couple sets of wheels or no wheels at all as long as they are already compatable with whats already being made. But seing how AE is still selling newly introduced Factory Team kits with inferior tires (FT fr 4x4) then I am assuming that tires will be included with the buggy even though I likely wont use them and just donate them. But as a consumer, offering ideas that benefit the racer on a thread veiwed by AE designers can only help us to get more bang for the buck. Right? i'm not enjoying the arguement and maybe I'm in the minority, but if you walked into your local hobby shop or online retailer, and you had 2 choices at the same price, would you be happier as a consumer? Would you be happy to save $30 on tires? I say no tires, or a couple choices.

Why would they? Not because their vehicle is better, but because most of it is incompatible. Also, 210s and RB5s are far too niche to have many aftermarket parts made for them. AE's platform has been around for almost a decade and they're probably the most common car out there, so it's not surprising that there are numerous aftermarket upgrades for them.
We have some guys that run vintage gold pan RC10's in mod buggy and are turning just as good or better lap times with the vintage cars. So all of the go fast aftermarket stuff most of it is B.S.
Save your money for track time and tires. That was some of the best advice I ever got....

those tires probably cost AE next to nothing. I like the coupon idea. then AE could make a bulk deal with their partner Proline/JC and buy down the prices and actually pass some of the savings to us. I have no idea who makes those rtr tires.

The guys at our track are working on getting a full heat of vintage 2wd mod buggy going soon.

Yes sir mixing up the old technology with the new lipo brushless technology. I can't wait to see a full heat of vintage mod buggy.

I would seriously buy that buggy. that white chassis is sexy as hell. does ae still make all the original parts to build those? or are the plastics custom?

I have had a 22, and a DEX410. Now I'm all AE. AE may be older but there cars are still better. I did like the 2 sets of wheels the Losi came with instead of tires. I believe if it sold as a kit that no tires should be in the kit just extra rims. RTR should have the tires. There are way to many tire choices and compounds now to just through a tire in its a waste for everyone.

Just got to keep your eyes on Ebay.
Not sure if Associated still makes the parts.
I think he has B44 rear arms, B4 front arms, and a stealth trans.

I'm not sure if they make them / have them or not but I know you can still buy them in some places.

This gives me a new idea for my gold tub!

Who wants to power coat my chassis white

I would love to talk to him about what parts he used. Some are obvious, and other not so. I probably have most of the car in my garge. but a-arms, caster and setup would be leet.

He posted a full how to with pictures on rc10talk.com. Its mostly original parts, but uses b4 caster blocks and rear hubs so he can run b4 wheels.
