Hey Guys

Well I just picked up a FT B4 Roller and planning to race in Stock.

Was wondering what everyone would suggest in terms of gearing? What sort of FDR should I be looking at?

Cheers
Will

I am running 32/72 and i like that very much for 17.5 i know guys running 34 or 35/69 for 17.5. My temps are at about 145 degrees after about 7 mins it seems the 17.5 like the small spur gears. I run on a small outdoor track about 20 sec to 23 sec. U just have to fine your setup and watch temp and also ask the fast guys at your track. They can give u the best answers thats what i did.

And the buggy will get even faster Jamie when you get the Avid springs.

Yeah because everyone drives as good as Maifield so just changing springs is gonna make you soooo much faster. Like getting new shoes makes you run faster.

I see we have a troll popping up from under his rock. I got a half second a lap faster with the Avid springs. And as you may see by Jamie's reply he knows it was tongue in cheek.

I will say the Avid springs have saved me 28-31 seconds in a 10 minute main. That is more than a whole lap. I'm only going off of results from previous races to current races on the same track with new Avid springs. They have made my previous fastest lap 1 second faster but for me it made it handle better and made me have more confidence where I'm more consistent every lap.

Racing 4.1 Worlds ..... electronics?

I need some help on what electronics would be top notch for racing my soon-to-arrive B4.1 Worlds.

I need advice for motor/esc/servo.

I'll be racing on an indoor medium-small indoor red clay track that's fairly hard with lots of twists, turns and jumps.

I love my lrp sxx v2 comp spec esc, Orion vortex 8.5 motor( insanely smooth and fast) , and I run an airtronics 94358 servo witch is also very smooth fast and reliable. Imo this is one of the best setup combos there is.

When will the springs be sold individually?

We are just about to sell out of the buggy/truck rear sets, but when the next spring shipment arrives our plan is to start selling them individually.

For the b4 setup at sdrc did you run a 3 hole 56 piston drilled? and im assuming thats ae oil? I just recently switched back to this car after years off and am still making the switch from my 22. my set-up is pretty good but that weekend grip never really came around like i was expecting

Yes, I ran AE blank 3 hole 56 drilled. I would've liked to try #2s but I ran out of time.

Haha she said troll, what are you 12? You learn that in 6th grade last year? Anyway just saying changing springs is not going to make EVERYONE faster. Yeah I guess if you are an excellent driver then yeah maybe just changing springs will make you FASTER.
