Was going through my B4 today cleaning and starting with a fresh indoor set-up. I stripped my servo saver so I ordered the new V2 spring/washer as well as the stripped piece. I may try locking the servo saver that I have since I don't really need it with my current servo.

Can't decide if I should just chuck the B4 and upgrade to the 4.1 or keep on wheelin' my b4. I am interested in seeing how the new 22 pans out. I still like my b4 so I'm in to hurry to go in another direction.

Run the RTR plastic chassis, get 4.1 arms and run your B4, then in 6 months AE will have a new B5 on the market......I hope, till then I bought a .1 cause it was time for a new ride.

IF you can drive and have a good servo, just glue the servo saver and be done with it. I glued the one on my .1 so the parts you ordered are not going to fix that problem..IMO

Default T4.1 loose setup

Was wondering if someone could help me with a setup. Currently running Cavaleri's setup for T4 clay. Looking for a setup for a local BMX track that is hardpacked and has loose covering. Right now I am just spinning out. I guess what I am looking for is a ?Loose? setup. Running Brushless, lipo, carvers up front. Was running Losi Minipins and the locals were running calibers on their SCT. Was thinking of trying the Gladiators or Bowties or Calibers if they make them.

I drive a 5 year old B4 that has been mostly upgraded to a FT kit. I am going to glue the servo saver as you suggested. I am also going to try to fit some Kyosho Velvet shocks on it as I still have the original Team Kit shocks on the buggy. Non threaded and they need to be replaced.

Hope I get out to try my new set-up this weekend.

Default Truck chassis on a buggy???

A pal told me that some of the west coast guys (with other brands of cars) have been putting a truck chassis tub on their buggys to lengthen the wheelbase (which I'm told makes the cars smoother, easier to drive and jump, without forfeiting much if any steering. Has anybody tried this on an AE B4 or B4.1? Is the truck tub a direct fit (just with a longer wheelbase)

It has been done to the B4 and is as you mentioned. The only problem is it makes the B4 longer than legal length by 4mm if I remember correctly. And yes, the truck chassis is a direct fit.

I think the 'BT4' is legal. The T4 has a 288 mm wheel base.

These are the 1/10 buggy rules page 56 from the ROAR rulebook:

Length (B) Maximum 457.2 mm
Width Maximum 250 mm
Height Maximum 203.2 mm
Wheelbase (A) Maximum 292 mm Minimum 229 mm
If you are like me and really struggle with 1/10 buggy the longer wheelbase can help but if you are fast with with the standard wheelbase, it will probably only slow you down.

Must be something to do with the sweep of the truck arms vs. the buggy arms that throws the wheelbase off. I didn't ask to try the one buggy I saw, but seems it would be smoother all around.

The one I saw last week was a regular B4 body that was trimmed longer in the back, but I have heard the B44 body will work too.
