hey there u guys, i have a small prob that i would like to address with my truck. the truck feels good overall but the steering seems to b a little too sensitive for me like after a turn it still may want to oversteer a little bit. what should i do. i have the latest mayfield setup on it

What servo are you running? I had the same issue with the slow stock servo. Went to a new Savox servo and it got rid of the latent steering. I then went to a Futaba 3PL radio and rx and the steering improved even more.

What j-bone posted is dead on - but will do no good with a slow servo.

Are rear sway bars a good idea? I will be racing on an indoor carpet sc track with small jumps. Also what are some good tires for running on carpet?

This winter I ran stock sc10 tires up front and losi strike tires in the rear with closed cell foams all around. Also put a small strip of foam in the strike tires for outer sidewall support. Truck hooked very well and was close to traction rolling. Just about everybody at the track ran this same setup.

Lower arms, ball cups, wheel nuts, and body clips are all good to keep spares of. It's also smart to have some extra bearings for the wheel hubs. :tire:

Thank you!

And once again go to ebay unless you have a local shop that you love! You can find the "chop shop" guys selling things in section, like full front end, full rear end, chassis and bumpers for like 1/4 the price of most shops.

All last week I ordered repair parts to have on hand and I now have nearly two trucks in spares for under $100

When you take into account shipping for each peice..... its soon negated.

I did have one for sale but decided to keep it and set one up for oval and the other up for offroad. My brother might have one, I'll ask him.

gamedog1966 ---- 1st thing to do is check your sensor wire....If that goes out (at least with a SP Cirtix esc) it will delay braking but forward will run normally. Happened to me the other day and I found a bad spot on my sensor cable.

2wd SCT 17.5 dying class?

I have finally got my FTSC10 dialed and have bought every go fast part avail. but seems like to 17.5 class is dying at my local track and I was wondering if the same thing is happening at other tracks? We seperated the 2wd SCT class at the beginning of the year into Novice and also 17.5 Sportsman/Pro so we have 20-25 novice every race but only 5-10 17.5 trucks. Anyway I think we are going to do a open 2wd instead of 17.5 which I think takes away some of the fun also cost more to be competitive. Anyway how is the 2wd SCT 17.5 class doing at your local track?

I still fail to see where Running mod opposed to stock 17.5t is more expensive... I mean Motors are the same price whether their 21.5t-4.5t...Speed controllers are the same, you run the same speed controllers just in a different setting. I mean yes there are some very budget friendly 17.5t systems but you can easily make mod just as cheap... Either way it sucks when a class starts to die off. Its weird the classes you run, typically you would find at least an open class and novice and then a stock class...At our track we are lucky to have novice, open mod, stock, and expert mod.

Its dead here. I cant remember the last 17.5 class we ran in SC. The buggy guys are doing it like crazy though. Mod isnt that bad, and I also fail to see how you think it cost more to be competitive? I run an 8.5 in mine and wouldnt have it any other way. Just something about being able to sail over a triple and land the back side with ease.

17.5 seems to be dying at my local track also. basically coming down to them saying it is becoming too hard to monitor (we were 17.5 blinky by the way). if people are going to cheat, their philosophy is just to make it open class. its too bad people have to cheat in a blinky class. rules are pretty simple, put 17.5 in car, set esc to blinky, and run. much more fun in my opinion. now I have to learn how to play with esc setting and create profiles, etc. oh well, just my .02.
