I have heard sooo many different things, so I will ask you directly :)
I am currently running the AE hex conversion parts on my whole F.T., with the exception of JConcept aluminum adapters on the rear. I am also running Hazard rims on all four corners. Now, I am very interested in buying a Proline Flo-Tek body because they are sick looking, but worried I would have issues with rubbing. I believe you have this exact same setup as me (except with JConcept adapters on all corners)... so do you have problems with rubbing when using the Hazards and the Flo-Tek? Thanks Brent! But just remember to mark the holes before you paint (and don't pull the dust cover off before you drill and lose your marks like my dumbass)and it's not to big a deal |

I ended up not running the +3mm rims. I found I needed to adjust the suspension more to reduce some of the steering. I did add a sway bar and love it though |

IMO, the reason to use a sway bar is to help square the chassis coming off a corner with that big ole 225 gram (9-10 oz) body way higher than the chassis center of gravity.
Kinwald has done a good job of putting them on a number of SC chassis - Xfactory and AE. |
I want to get back into 2WD SC and want to know if there's any word on a new SC10 Factory Team going to be released?
I know SC104x4FT comes out next month, I've seen production pics of the new BB shock/springs... and I think we should see a SC10.1 soon. Any word? I've owned and raced an SC10 factory team truck. In November, the truck was starting to feel a bit sloppy so I sold it and bought my first buggy, B4.1. |
There are always gonna be rumors but I haven't seen anything about a new ft sc10.1 at all. Granted all I can go off of is a few websites and magazines. I am not "in the know".
|
From employees i have heard maybe on the SC10. but others cars are coming.
|
BB's are just in testing stages. Don't think you will see a upgrade anytime soon. Probably be a new platform first and buggy would come before truck.
|
I recently upgraded my sc10rs to the Reedy 540 4900kv...great motor tons of power for me.....however....the really cool looking power wheelie halfway down the straight is entertaining for everyone but me...the slipper is looooooose....what do i do?....weight in the front?...
:ha: |

Okay, I finally found the replies in this bloody thread that i got from my question after it was merged.
Ive been working on my bikes today- cleaning and regreasing bearings, and making sure external parts are oiled up. Its night time now so i might get to trying to find out whats wrong with my car. Ive been told by a few people to pull it apart which im hoping to do in a minute just as long as princess fiona (aka dad) doesnt go apeshit about pulling it apart. (he thinks im incapable of unscrewing a few screws, even though ive done it a million times to my other cars) I will post pics of what i find, i might not get round to that until tomorow, which will be monday, and thats a tough day for me (at school and tafe for 12 hours) so it might even be tuesday. ill try to do it tonight but other things may arise. |
Why the chassis has 3 parts

I Hope you understand, what i mean Tank you Shortening the camber links will cause the tires to lean in (gain camber) more as the shocks compress. That includes landings from jumps as well as hard cornering. Ride height will also need to be watched, as the camber will change through the travel limits. So lowering the ride height will give you extra camber. It's mostly a contact patch adjustment, but also affects chassis roll a small amount, giving the springs progressively reduced leverage as the car leans further over. You can see the effects on this suspension geometry page: http://www.racingaspirations.com/?p=286 |
