Wanna try one of these chassis braces?:sneaky:

It really does the trick and a rebuild isn't necessary but if you wait you'll need a top plate too.

I ran 2 practice days and 3 race nites before any issues.

Now I've run a full practice day and a race nite on a completely broken chassis, the front end actually left the truck, tie rods popped off and it was a couple feet away. I put the brace on in about 15 minutes and been drivin it since.

Just sayin.

Good Idea,

I'll just make one myself w/ some scrap Al plate...
Thanks for the heads up.

for all you guys breaking plastic parts, there is a great bonding compound which can glue almost anything... its called Q-Bond and has a liquid glue like superglue and a special bonding powder. you cover the joint in the powder and then drop the glue on and it turns rock hard in seconds. it will repair your chassis' or you could beef it up before you break it. its great for fixing control arms etc too to get you out of trouble on race day. i bonded my slash chassis back together after a bit hit and never had an issue going on about 8 months now since

I raced mine for the 1st on Sunday, and the only thing I broke was the speed control. I'll have to see what this next Sunday brings.

How do you change the wheelbase?

Kurt's set up sheet shoes set up as short wheelbase. How do you change the setting between short, medium and long? Same thing with the front axle height. It's shown as an option on the set up sheet, but not sure how it's done.

Its easy. You have spacers on either side of your rear hub. Just move the two spacers to the rear and you have a short wheelbase. Same for the front axle. Just move your spacers.

Would a shorter or longer wheelbase be more stable? ( less loose in rear end )

I think Stormer Hobbies has the lipo weight trays.

That'll work,

I would have bought one if someone already had em but I had to make the first one and just started makin more for all the guys (like me)that didn't feel like makin their own.

Yes, a longer wheel base will make it more stable.

Won't turn as well though.

These things need to dive into the corners but need to push out of the corners.
That's the tricky part.
Looks like that video had one dialed in setup, obviously lots of traction as it was wheelying down the straight!

Look again at the video , you will notice a small bump before you enter the straight , if you hit the throttle hard and too soon you will wheelie down all the way ....

Its trickier then it appears...:tire:
