FWIW, I've felt very hooked up at the rear running #1's/green/30wt. Front I'm usually using #2/blue/32.5. I've yet to be able to get enough "natural" steering out of the front end so I'm running a setup to let car rotate off a stab of the brakes when needed without rotating too far or having the front end then hook under braking.

i am using 3 hole 57 fr and 3 hole 54 rear

Are you running losi shocks? I am on my car, using the red pistons in front, and orange in the rear, and need way more steering!

no,V2 red/orange piston 37.5/32.5 red/green spring, try playing with camber links or take out squat, how many limiters are in the rear shocks.i use red fr springs when traction is up and blue if it low and the same for the rear silver/grey if it up and green if its low.this is working for me it may not work for you it all depends on how you drive

I am running buggy rear shafts, so I do not have to use any limiters. I tend to drive as smooth as possibles especially when I am running stock. I usually roll corners, instead of stop -ebrake- go.. which I may have to change to, but thanks for the info! |

I came back into the hobby after a 15 year hiatus and drove that way too. I discovered that cars prefer to be sort of swung through the corners. The tighter, more technical tracks require that anyway. I'm attempting to adjust my driving style.

There are plenty of ways to get steering in the truck. I would focus more on tuning the truck over relearning to drive. A couple quickish things to try would be 20 degree caster blocks and/or inline steering knuckles. Then there's still plenty you can do with roll centers and shocks.

Strange, I feel like I have a ton of steering (maybe too much) on my 17.5. I'm running the 2010 maifield roar nats setup except I have 32.5 wt all around and gray springs in the rear instead of green. Also a long camber link in the rear (C hole) and 2 washers under the u brace ballstud.

Thanks for that, I can start from there! I cant remember correctly but are the Greys stiffer then green? If so, is thats what compensation for the long camber link? |
