Which side did you double shim, you only double shimmed one side right?

My LHS doesn't have the rebuild kit ( ASC9829 ) is there another AE part # that will have the same shim?

I shimmed both side. I had it apart and one side was dished the other cut all the way thru. look back in this post for pics.

This is my first AE product and I think my expectations were too high on this truck. Don't get me wrong I like it but, I think the handling was less predictable than the Slash. I had already used 5k oil in my diff before reading it would be too much so that may have been the biggest problem. Maybe a 60w shock oil or grease is in order. All the handling issues I am sure can be overcome. My biggest disappointment was the left lock nut kept coming loose and eventually I let it go too long (5 minutes)and ended up stripping the wheel hub. I have learned that locktight is a must with the rear nuts. Maybe the locknut nylon was bad? I won't hold it against the truck.
What I will hold against it is the front end is the sloppiest I have ever seen. If I move the wheel, it had a good 1/8" movement about the vertical axis and a 1/16" lateral and this was before I drove it, now I am seeing more play around the rod ends now that it has been run a bit. This kind of slop makes any kind of acurate toe or camber adjustments almost worthless. I have never seen this kind of play on any vehicle I have ever owned. I need to investigate further and see where most of it is coming from.

What gearing. I was running a 20 /87 and it looked like that.

Can anyone give me the right lengths/measurements that the front camber and toe links are supposed to be? I've just put my front end together and went by what the manual said and they are no where near the correct length. Thanks for any info guys.
