Rear toe affects how well the vehicle tracks. More gives you more stability, while creating more drag.

While both V2 shocks, the threaded shocks are easier to adjust and more racing-oriented. The FT edition uses better shock shafts, too.

Default Sc- Sway Bar installation

The rear bar is easy just use the B-4 bar set (black bar)

Drill hole though top plate , use B-4 bar (Black) & a couple Dubro collars.

Our local tracks recently bumped up stock to 13.5 so make sure you check where you race before buying a motor. Most places consider 17.5 stock though.

Are the sc10 rtr's good for bashing as well as racing? I will be running on tracks but also was going to pick up two sc10rtrs so my fiance could drive one.

Are the rtr's like this one at tower the newer updated rtr's?

Doesn't look like the updated one. If I were you, I'd get the SC10RS.

Yeah, the updated ones will say RS, i.e. this is the updated one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBHBU&P=ML

MattP's original link is to the old brushed version. It could be fine for pure bashing but if the thought of taking it to a track is in your mind, spend the extra and start off on the right foot.

I just want the cheap brushed version for me and my fiance to mess around with when I'm not running buggy or truggy. I know the Race Spec brushless was just released but I don't need a brushless one to just goof off with.

I remember the first rtr's had issues with breaking parts and I thought associated had did a running change on plastics or something I read about.

So this one and the one I posted earlier are still the old poo ones?

In that case, it's harder to know if the rtr has the latest minor running changes in place. I don't what or if there were any running changes to the brushed rtr but I would suggest looking at the same truck from a more tech-literate store than Tower such as Stormer https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...=ns&pn=ASC7029 and then contacting them directly to ask about the batch they have in stock and are selling right now. Tower probably can't answer your question but I'd bet Stormer can.

Ok sounds good. I just called Associated and was told ALL the brushed rtr's were going to be discontinued and the only rtr 2wd sc10 they were planning on selling was the RS brushless one.

I might just pick up a couple of the new 2.4 blitz trucks. I had a couple before and they gave me zero problems.

The rtr brushless stuff seems pretty good and reliable.

FYI, the rtr versions do still require batteries and a charger.

ya i know.. i was just wondering if i should just get the electronics for my roller or just buy a new one.. i can buy batteries and charger after, i wa gonna get the sidewinder sct or the sidewinder 4600kv. but if i bought the new one id have to run it as it is for now. so should i just build mine, would it be worth it or worth buying a new one instead
