I just brought a sc10 2wd kit version...at the moment I have a spare 5.5t 6000kv brushless set up. Like I said in the previous post, have you guys used this truck with mod motors?

Thanks dvsstrike for the answer.

What hop up would you guys recommend for a FTeam SC10?

just get the factory team rear hubs. the ones that have the oversized outer bearing thats all. tires and spring set would help also.

Hi guys...simple question. How does the standard gearbox/diff setup go with modified motors? Do they hold up ok?

I've ran a 7700kv motor in mine and it handled it just fine until I wheelied into a board and broke the chassis. I also ran that motor in my T4 (which has the same gearbox) for a long time with no issue. The truck's tough and can handle whatever you throw in it.

Just about got my FT sc10 built and was playing around with it a bit on the bench.....anyone else notice how much twist anf flex the stock chassis has. When I grab mine in front of the rear shocks and hold under the front by the steering rack I can really twist it easily.... seems like that will suck up some of the chassis adjustments made......I would prefer a more rigid chassis....

any thoughts or opinions? is this an issue?

It does have some flex. I'm always amazed at how much the front shock tower flexes as well. I've found all it disappointing when you're just looking at it on the workbench but yet, the truck still reacts to changes as you would expect it to so perhaps, giving them the benefit of the doubt, it's "engineered flex" ;)

Not an issue, the new plastic = grip!

The SC10 plastic is actually quite rigid compared to the other offerings out there.

Have you ever fondled a Blitz or a Losi?

Talk about bendy...

tune with camber links.

Has any one tried what they are discusing in that thread? just curious on your thaught on the topic for use on sc10's?!!???!

Quickstang 06-14-2011 06:20 AM

No I havent messed with either of those trucks....just something I felt on the sc10. Its a ton more flexy then my B4.1. What about the K trucks? Thanks for the feedback guys

flex is good! (for low grip situations)

another question:

i have a ft, the ft arms are pretty rigid, i bought some rpm spare arms but never needed them, they are pretty flexy, do they privide morge grip then the rigid ft ones?

Has anyone noticed on ae's set up sheets that the drivers are using 3oz of weight under the battery foam spacer. Does anyone also use the ft weight that goes underneath the transmission as well as the 3 oz under the battery spacer?

The RPM arms will totally change the handling of the truck, after 2 races I put the stock arms back on, I have 2 sets of RPM front arms and hinge pins & hinge pin plates from my SC10 & T4 If anyone wants them I'll sell them cheap. PM me.

Can someone please tell me if the front & rear camber rods go on the inside hole on the front shock tower & inside hole on the rear chassis brace.

That's how the manual for the FT truck tells you to do it, I just finished mine up last night:D

Yes... I use it, it fits great.

It's only like .60oz... So I run another 2oz or so under the pad like everyone else recommends.
