For those running a buggy-size T8 in their truggy, what is your gearing and how are your temps? Are your tracks small to medium or medium to large?
Wondering how a buggy-T8 would fair in a truggy at my track (medium-large, big jumps, about a 200ft straight).

I'm happy to hear you say that because it's the one I plan to choose. You are also on the tekin forum I think (same avatar) and I read some of your posts and concluded that this was the way to go .

Thanks again

Darn it...I'm having a problem with my RX 8. It's about a month old running in a Caster on 4S. It'll run for about 2 minutes (just easy running around) and then after that it'll cut out. The LED's 1, 3, and 5 flash and the fan will turn on when I apply throttle. The motor won't go. When I release throttle, sometimes the fan will continue to operate while the LED's 1, 3, and 5 continue to flash. Other times, the LED's will stop flashing and the fan will turn off. I still have radio control though.

For the first month, it worked fantastic.

I wonder if there is something simple that has gone wrong or should I contact the Tekin folks? If I do send it back, should the motor go to since it currently hard wired to the RX8 unit?

Best bet for fast turnaround is to call/email Tekin directly. You need to get a RMA number, and fill out their form, and mail in whatever they want you to include.

Default New RX8

Ran my new Tekin RX8 with the new Ballistic HV4.5 today!! WOW!! With a few more adjustments I will be dialed, but what a motor ESC combo. With all the available adjusting and fine tuning, anyone can get control of their 4x4 SCT. I ran 1.5 to 2 seconds faster than my previous lap times and was able to control the truck better when I was out of shape and needed to use the throttle to correct myself. More should look at this combo if you run 4x4 Open SCT.

Temps with Hyper SC10;

42/14 Motor 120 F, ESC 105 F

Today I ran a 20 minute main using a 1900 on 5S packs and put 3700mah back into it after the race. My motor came off at 150-160* and the ESC's fan was running while it flashed 1-2-3 LEDs and went to 1-2 within a couple minutes. Anything to be concerned with? Ambient temperature was in the mid-90s and sunny all day.

Tekin fans ( RX8 ones in my case ) are not available in Europe..... I personally consider that a shame indeed.

Anyway, do you perhaps know if someone in the old continent has those fans or if the Europe all is forced to buy over the Atlantic ocean adding tons of customs and shimpment costs ?

Thx
