i noticed today that if i set my neutral width small the throttle seems to stick. When i increase the TW it doesn't, is this because of my dx2? I can set the TW to zero and the radio/esc still calibrates during start up. Anyone else notice this?

If by "throttle seems to stick" you mean that there is still a tiny bit of forward throttle showing on the esc and being applied to the motor (high pitch noise) then yes, it is your radio that is slightly wandering at neutral. Bump up the neutral width until the esc always reads neutral when the trigger is at neutral.

Need some advise I bought a RX8 2250 for a 8ight t 2.0 conversion Tekin mentioned a better option would be the 2000 system since your limited to a 4s battery on this system too much power. What type of run times are you seeing on a 4s 5000 40 c battery track and driver is always in question but give me some examples debating if I should go to a 2000kv motor more options longer run times.

Also for all Losi guys what type of setups are you running on the t 2.0 and are you running the Tekno setup or Losi conversion (cheaper)

Thanks for the info blade! I see that you have the Ve8 which I will be picking one up next month. So I am looking into options for a motor and esc. How long are you run times and what gearing are you using?

I put the Losi conversion onto my 1.0 using the Tekin 1550 and 5S packs geared 45/15. It is faster, just a little, than most nitros and I make a 15 minute main easily with a 5,000mah pack (burning about 190mah/min).

so not to complain... I haven't had trouble with my rx8 yet... But no one answered mine or WITTA's question???

Whats going on with the board separation issue? Is there a way to get something that wont have problems? Is tekin admitting this is a problem or claiming that its not?

Tekin cs has always been great to me... I dont want to be a complainer but I would like to know where I am standing with my 300 dollar setup? How does it break? Is it overheating and then the solder coming loose or is their just no support behind it?

Thanks!

The problem is fractured solder joints on the lower board for the most part. Tekin has admitted to bad batches of boards being the cause of the problem and is why many have great luck (most good batches) and then others have failures. There isn't much you can do if you have a "bad one" and tekin will help you get a woking one no problem.

I must be lucky as my RX8 is very old (april/may 09) and has been screwed down directly to my truggy chassis. Survived 9 races last season without any issue.
Hope it it survives this weekend race as my backup RX8 is delayed thanks to volcanic dust from iceland

Thanks for posting this. I have the same motor/esc setup in my 2.0 and was looking for gearing and runtime info for it. Now I have a starting point .

I agree, 100%.

On a side note, I bumped my 1900/RX8 combo gearing up from 13/45 to 14/45, in my 2.0B and found the motor temp to drop from 140 to 110 and the esc temp to go up from 85-90ish to 110 after a 5-7 minute run. Car seems a touch easier to drive, also. It's not blowing the tires off like crazy when I'm coming on to the straitaway.

The lower RPM at the same speed does that, its harder for the speedo but better for the motor.

unless you go to far offcourse.

mine is still alive after 30 minutes. now if it gets to 30H it gets a cake.

Super controller really, so smooth... will be much nicer to navigate trough our small track.

i run 1700 on 4s with 13/50 in the RC8T, it still has too much top end but i dont care.

motor ran fine last weekend with the castle controller.

curious to see how the tekin will feel in the dirt.

hmm, having a problem with mine, that i cant find any relation to in the manual.

i was bashing around with the tekin t8 1900kv and a rx8 yesterday, when i started to land off jumps the motor seemed to cut out for a few seconds on landing. the issue started getting worse, now its at a point where it will not move. the esc turns on, the lights move when i pull the trigger, but it does not beep anymore, and there is no power going through to the motor. i didnt see the fan come on at all, but the temperature monitor only showed light load (2 or 3 lightbars).

i bought the esc secondhand, off these forums a little while ago, i assume they only have a year warranty?

i am in australia too, so im not sure how i would go about getting it fixed, i dont think we have any reps here.

i have also tried factory resetting it, didnt change anything.

does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks!
