Amazing Randy ... here some locals are using 2.000 mamba motor and they dont go past 16 in pinion, as they say more than that will overheat motor ... will start on your number, thanks !

What would you tekin guys recommend for a Ve8 that will be driven on both a large loamy track (might be clay soon) and a smaller high bite track? I was thinking of either the 1900 or 2050. Will be run on 4s and may be running mains with the nitros. Links to tracks...

With out a doubt if you can only have one motor, the 1900. 22-23t pinion for the large track and 17-18t for the smaller track.

Finally I got my RX8/1900 system from Tower Just opened the box but it seems that it did not come with any double-sided tape even though the manual says it should be included... Got me a little worried. What parts should I get in the box? Besides the ESC and motor, I got a fan + screws, 3 cables and a sensor cable + holder.

just took my 2650 3s 5000mah combo out for a test spin in my hyper 9 and it is pretty damn amazing. wheelies when the tires get lots of grip! the car feels pretty lightweight (which was the intention, w/ a high Kv 3s setup) and is sooo smooth!
ran it for roughly 10-12 minutes and still had 3.6 volts per cell left. and it was running very cool, 120-140 max afterward w/ the esc much less.
i am very pleased with the potential this setup has on a tighter clay track. vs heavier 4s setups like my MMM 2200 rc8, which feels a bit barge like after this!

edit: timing was min...i cant imagine ever needing more than the lowest setting

If you're quick, Hobby City has some of the new 5800's still in stock. Only problem is it's only the 25c that's in stock, 30c version is still out.

Just got lucky and got the last rx8 1900 Tower had in stock! From what I hear the Hobby City lipos are hit or miss (usually miss) in the VE8's. I may also have to keep it Roar legal, but if not the "blue" lipos make some attractive options that fit.

Default tekin rx8 secure setup (Combo Tekin rx8 motor T8 trugghy)

Take a Watt meter,
simply do not have to exceed these values:
1500 watts peak
100 amp peak
160 ° F max

following these values will not break anything
