Same answer unfortunately as the ST.

hey PW , what's the scoop on the new 3dp carpet tires? They look pretty interesting. What have you guys found in testing with these tires? How do they compare to fuzz bites?

I got my first set of them last night, going to hopefully try them on Friday night and have some feedback.

Hi, on the Pioneer 1:10 scale buggy wheels, I notice they are not as firm as the Mono wheels.

Does this make them less ideal on high grip clay?

thx

Will the rc8b4.1 turnbuckles be close enough to work for the Mbx8r? I’d like to throw some blue stuff on my buggy.

Searching for Losi 22s Sprint spec tire for black carpet oval racing... RTR tires have tons of grip but are wearing quickly, looking at slicks. Are the smoothie 3 the best option for this car? Premounted preferred, tire chart shows pink as a carpet tire but didn't see them as a premount.

Pink is a very stiff compound for the pin style carpet tire, for the smoothie 3 I would suspect you would want one of the gold compounds, from what I have seen "clay" compounds tend to work better on carpet for slick tires than the more conventional blue/green compounds. I know the smoothie 2 in silver grips quite well on carpet but I haven't tried the smoothie 3 so not sure how they would compare.

Agreed they are needed badly. I mounted a slim tire on the monos and then trimmed/cut the wheel down to the tire.

They are in the works, but I don't have an ETA. You can easily cut the inside bead off flush against the inner bead lip with curved lexan scissors. I've seen several guys do it on the Pioneer wheels

PW How long, typically, does it take for someone at JC to reply to an email request? I sent in an email using the online submission on JC’s website a week ago and haven’t even received an automated message to tell me someone will reply soon. I received fuzzbite rears with defective molding and I’d like to have them replaced. Amain hobbies won’t touch JC warranty claims and refer me to JC.

Typically not long from my experience but you have to factor in holidays this time of year for any type of shipping, returns or customer service. These couple of weeks the actual days worked can vary by company.
