As the previous Joncepts yz2 and YZ4SF bodies work on the newer Yokomo SO lineup and MO line up, any change to being those back? if not, anything new in the works?

Sales on the existing Yokomo bodies were so low, they decided to discontinue them. I will have to check and see if we even still have the molds. Unfortunately nothing new in the works for Yokomo as the demand is to low to retool and make all new molds.

thanks for the info. good thing at least the stuff already molded does work, and some stuff designated for other things (B7 turnbuckles for one since both AE and Yok are 48mm for there 2wds) will work. May be an option to offer with a simple additional marking on the label.

Default JConcepts Pioneer front wheels

I noticed on the new Jconcepts Pioneer front rims, they are a little wider than usual. When I mount a Jconcept fuzz bite front tire, the side walls don't sit up square against the outer lips of the rim. Is this normal or am I going to have to stretch out the tire to make it fit properly.....Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. ~ Roger

The Pioneer wheels should be exactly the same as the standard Mono wheels. We currently don’t offer a slim front Pioneer wheel for carpet tires (Fuzzy bites), but they are in the works.

Thanks Paul for the 411. Much appreciated. Looking forward to the narrower front Pioneer wheels when they are available. ~ Roger

You can also cut the inner bead off the wheel and make your own narrow/slim wheel for carpet tires .

Had to fix something with the mold that added a big delay. Tires have been ordered and being made now.

I tried some Smoothie 3s in the G3 compound at my local indoor clay track and they were getting pretty shredded. This was after 3 runs in mod 2 wheel with TDK 2 sauce. The tire of choice is the smoothie 2s in silver. PW would G1 be better or is there a different sauce I should try?

I was able to answer my own question after my race today. We had a track change this week so the track was damp and tacky. I ran my usual AKA tire and the smoothie 3s back to back and the smoothies were more locked in and had a more direct and predictable steering. I wasn't experiencing graining or excessive wear.

With that being said the G3 compound is not comparable to silver (my original assumption when buying them). If your track is more abrasive and uses clay compounds you are more than likely going to want to try the G1 or G2 compound.

I see in the chassis focus for Marcus Kaerup's B7 he ran a P2X? Can we expect a new P2 variant sometime?

For Smoothie 3's when would I use G1,2,or3? Currently I am using Blue 3's on my 4wd at my local track that is humid and has a ton of grip. These tires are great!

However In CNY/WNY the temps will drop, a lot of the times below 30 degrees, which you will need to use a very soft tire. I think Green would be my choice, but just want to make sure I understand the other compounds.
