I've been running mainly Stackers, Black Jackets and Hybrids all in blue and green compound and have seen very minimal wear over the past month and a half of running them almost every weekend. Couldn't be happier with the switch!

Thanks guys!

Thank you Tyler!

Start the dramatic music

I will volunteer for the one way mission that is testing the SC Dirt Webs. I know it will be a parlous mission to under take. I know it will be filled with lots of finger pulling and wheel spinning and flying dirt, well clay in my case, for hours on end. I may even get blisters on my throttle finger from the long hours of testing. I will use the entire out put of the power company charging my batteries to continue the testing to the fullest. May my untimely demise help those that come after me.

It is a sacrifice I am willing to commit to to help others. That is the kind of guy I am.

Now lots of explosion sounds.

End of trailer.

Buzz.
Valiant effort, but I think we have it sorted ;)

Those little nobs are so robust the tire bites on the loosest of surfaces. It's what I used for round 2 of the JConcepts Winter series at Coral Springs. Both my cars hooked up well, even though in 2WD mod my driving stunk up the joint and I got clipped nasty in 4WD.

Incubus:

On our S. Florida red clay, from too wet to black groove, is the order; DD, 3D, splitter, Bar code V1, Bar code V2?

Where does the hybrid fit in? Do I have the order correct?

the incubus 04-21-2014 09:26 AM

I've never had success with bar codes on clay. Usually DD and when it's slippery the splitters. Just bought some super soft 3D's to test a month ago but I won't be Abel to get out for months.

There's no particular order either. It all depends on when you run in the order between track maintenance and the ambient temperature and intensity of the sun. If you run right after they wet down the track DD, as it dries out 3D or splitters, but all work well regardless for the most part. I buy my son the black mega soft DD's and those things are glued!

Trial and error is the best way to learn, but asking fellow racers helps quite a bit.

Another popular tire choice at my track are pink HB Megabytes.

Well can not blame a guy for begging, can you?

The clay is an indoor track. So it never dries out. I have gold bar codes. Is there a softer compound? I think the shop carries blue?

Buzz.

When will the new grey inserts be for sale on the web site or anywhere?

Eric Tomczyk 04-22-2014 08:52 AM

So where are we on that MM RT6 Finnisher? Got a part number yet?

How do the 2wd grey fronts compare to using open cell foams? Did JC finally find the perfect cc foam that has the same softer feel of an open cell but lasts 2-3x as long?

The grey inserts are med/firm and the white foam is still considered soft. Still no magic soft "cc" inserts that last for ever...ha

Bolisario, in the mean time run some duck tape around the foam insert once. this will keep the tire carcass from eating the foam up so fast.

Any plans to improve your supply chain as it relates to tire availability? Even Amain appears to be getting cheeky/sarcastic with availability dates on the Dirt Webs now...

I ran the DW's in 2wd SC in gold and I believe it was orange at Cactus. They work great!

Indoor clay with the golds has an immense amount of forward bite, almost too much if there's such a thing! lol..good stuff!
