Summertime temps 87° (again) in Florida, Rear Green DDs not the best and fell apart on a calcium treated outdoor clay track. What's a good tire to churn out practice laps without breaking the wallet? I would assume the Orange compound with the heat, bar codes, 3D's , Dirt Webs?
Stick with a groovy in a firmer compound or match the front to the rear choice? Thanks 2wd mod buggy (4.2) I grabbed a pair of V1 Bar Codes in blue for both the front and rear. Also ordered a rear 3d in Orange for hot days when the track isn't so abrasive (the calcium washes out). Anything else I need? What DD's doe I run in the S Fl mid-day runs if the track has moisture? |

Yes; it will be months before anything production is available. My guess is the wheels will happen first and then the tires. The cool thing is the current tires are easily converted by cutting the bead off. So essentially you can have 1 tire and run whichever wheel setup works best for your track ;).
And in that case can I put in a request for jc to make a hex Rulux wheel?? |
I have a set of bar codes. I run on an indoor clay track. When the track is wet, after the misters come on, after the track is watered and we wait 20 minutes, the bar codes are like driving on ice. They slip and slide like crazy. Yet, after 10 minutes after the misters, they start to hook up again. Then about 45 minutes after they water the track they start to grab again.
I have tried 3 different sauces, but they have not really helped all that much. They just changed the track where I drive and man o man, I could not get around a corner without sliding and spinning. It was real bad. The track seemed to be wetter then it was before the change. Any idea's on how to get them to stick? Is there another tire that would work? Brothers Ions seemed to work well with the wetter conditions, but did not work as well with the drier track. Buzz. |

does anyone know where I can get the little screws that go into the J concepts 12mm hex. mine are kind of getting stripped out..thanks

2mm x 6mm will go in a little deeper. I think that is what I have used in the past to make it work/last longer

Congratulations for JConcepts new Dirt Webs.
IMO They are the biggest improvement in tires made in many years. With the competition bringing their new shoes to the market these Dirt Webs are making them go back to the development dept. kudos to BK and his latest efforts.:) |
Thanks guys for the info on the 2mm/6mm screws.
