I hope these are incredible since I paid almost 2x the price of Bar Codes :tire:

Figured I should be a good guy and come back to say...

TAKE MY MONEY!!! :D

Amazing tire! Great job BK and JC. And I'm glad to see retailers already dropping their selling prices. Will be super happy to see them back in stock.

Thanks,
Jesse

Any updates?

Summertime temps 87° (again) in Florida, Rear Green DDs not the best and fell apart on a calcium treated outdoor clay track. What's a good tire to churn out practice laps without breaking the wallet? I would assume the Orange compound with the heat, bar codes, 3D's , Dirt Webs?

Stick with a groovy in a firmer compound or match the front to the rear choice?

Thanks

Jconcepts tire/foam question

Hello. I hope this isn't a silly question. I'm fairly new to rc. Just picked up some front and rear tires for my 4wd buggy. The foams that came with the tires are the same width front and rear yet the front tires are narrower. Do people usually just stuff them in? Or do they cut the front foams to match the width of the tires?

The J concepts thread is about 15 threads down...Read the last 3-4 pages.
But yes they are cutting them.

Tom, I see in your sig you run 2wd and 4wd buggy. Not sure which vehicle you are referring to here with this issue (maybe both) but here is what I do as well as about everyone and my track and most all over. For 2wd front, the front foam is too small. You need to use the open cell foam out of the rear tires and cut about 1/4 off of it. It will seem like it doesn't want to fit but you just have to work it in there. It will go.
As far as 4wd fronts, they really need closed cell foams

I'm curious to know more on the 4wd buggy inserts. Why do you say they need closed cell? Will that depend on track conditions? As for the rear, do most use the open cell that come with the tires ( DD's)?

Any idea when there will be front wheels for the TLR 22-4 available?

I'm no expert, but from what I understand is that "open cell" inserts aren't as firm and will allow the tyre to fold over on itself around sharp turns. There is a balance as too firm won't allow your tyres to "conform" on a bumpy track (different inserts for different track conditions).

If this has been answered, I apologize. Front tires for B5; Rounders, Rips or groovy. The track has clay mix with dust, and loose dirt. What would be your suggestion. Rear tires are usually Dbl Dees, or a traditional mini pin tire.

I suggest Rips in green compound.

We will offer the new Bullet wheels for the 22-4, but no ETA yet.
