I ran the Finnisher body with the 3.1 and no fan. I never bothered to try it with the fan but I'd expect it to either touch or be so close that it'd choke off the fan.

I ran it with a 7.5 and a 17.5, never had any heat issues even down here in FL.

Thanks for that information I have a 3.1 on the way I got theFinnisher also:spidey:

I bought a set of Bar Codes in blue(soft) compound. My old set of soft compounds where "gold". Are the new "blues" the same as the old "golds"?

blue = dirt soft, gold = clay soft.

That's a good question, but I don't have an exact answer as it still varies track to track and scale to scale. If the track is hard packed with no loose fluff; I would think anything in the 60's and below would benefit from the next softer compound.

They are in 2 completely different families (different rubber); Gold is primarily used indoor on smooth, damp, cool/cold clay surfaces. Blue is primarily run on dry, grooved, med/high-bite conditions indoor or outdoor.

The Finnisher for the T4.2 (#0252) works perfect and we will offer a mid-motor Finnisher the first of the year.

A few months back, I personally purchased three pair of "blue" 2wd barcode front tires and they were actually Golds. The feel and smell of gold vs blue is a dead giveaway. It wasnt a big deal for me because i have a track to use the golds at. You may have got one of the "batches" I got?

Silly question. Does the JC body for the 22 fit mid-motor
