Paul, are Bar Codes the top tire in steering, or will a ribbed tire give better performance in some cases? Example, at Mike's the track is getting more bumpy and I've started to grab ruts. Car setup with Green Bar Codes (full rear foam) is very consistent and fast, and I don't want to loose the steering the car has now, but I was thinking of running a ribbed front to help the situation. Is there a ribbed tire that has about the same steering as the Bar Code?

Gold,I don't mind if they get alittle softer since I sauce them up just can't get hard and brittal

You can try to bake them off - 350 degrees in the oven. But don't use acetone as it typically shrinks and hardens clay compound tires.

Does the heat do anything to the compounds?

Some say yes some say no. I would probably just cut the tire open to reuse the closed cell foam - if applicable - and write it off. Not worth the time ad effort for a $10 set of tires

I boil for about 20 or so minutes. Leaves the rim mostly clean and then use Satellite City debonder (solvent) to get the CA off the tires.
Comes out perfect.

There are cases where ribs are very close or equal in steering, but not often. I do remember Jason Ruona and Brent Thielke really liked green Rips last year at Mike's (JConcepts Indoor Nats) because they made the car easier to drive without giving up much steering. They were using 3/4 rear white foam (inserts) in the Rips.

Any updates on the front sway bar for the SC10? Our track is one where they would really be helpful. Seen them listed on the insert of the JC body I just put on my SC10. Any update would be great.

Thanks-
