Gold is typically used on damp clay tracks (not red clay like MS), but lately we have been running Golds on red clay indoor tracks when it's cold. It's just a roll of the dice and not a sure thing.

I'm sure the new Black "mega soft" compound will be really good there during the winter months, but like any time you go softer, wear is a factor. Maybe try the new Stacker in Black.

The BJ4 WE still works well, but the B44.1 and B44.2 is so much more refined and parts are much easier to get. You have to use the BJ4 bodies; the B44.1 or .2 bodies don't fit.

Guess I'll have to run the body with it. I only got this to fill the gap until Losi comes out with a 4WD Buggy. Unless I break down and buy a Schumacker K1

Hi Guys,

I bought a BJ4WE a few years ago with the intention of starting to run off-road, which never eventuated, until now :).

I was just wondering about Lipo trays to fit the BJ4WE chassis. I searched the thread, and found the B44 tray (#9785) which some says is a direct fit, some with modifications. I was just wondering if people have been using the newer B44.1 (#9775) or B44.2 (#9905) LiPo trays, preferably without having to do any modifications - I think the newer B44.2 version looks a bit more secure.

Funny you ask... I just installed the B44.1 trays in mine!!! They fit perfect!!! I'm noticing alot of AE parts fit this thing!!! Easy to work on!!!

I'm trying to figure out how to run one shorty pack in it!!! And balance it!!!

Has anyone noticed any inconsistency in gold compound lately? One set will wear the outside tire in relation to the high speed sweeper...then the second set will wear the inside tire. Tires are treated the same and mounted in the same direction every time. Same car...same setup...same track conditions...same driver

How do you tell in the difference in direction with the bar codes? Or it just one compound? Now im losts this is new info to me

The only true directional tire (for 1/10 scale buggy at least) is the BroCodes. The 1/10 Truck BarCodes can be mounted directionally (as a tuning aid) as one side has a large Y and one has a small Y. Other than that....I haven't seen any problems with either Truck or Buggy Gold compound tires. The buggy BarCodes (v2's) you can mount them so that one set of the Y's is ahead of the other side of the tire. Are both L/R sides mounted so that the inside or out side are the same (outer sidewall has the Y ahead of the inner sidewall or vice versa), I dont know if this would cause an issue like you have stated, just trying to think of something.

Will the AE B4.2 come with the Finnisher body or something else?

What B4.2? There is no such vehicle at this time.

I have a set of near new barcodes that are on a tweaked wheel,looks like I came down wrong and where the axle slides through the wheel is bent,I doubt the wheel could be fixed but anyway of removing the tire with out tearing up the tire or changing the rubber content?

Gold,I don't mind if they get alittle softer since I sauce them up just can't get hard and brittal
