I think the name of it is San Emigdio loam, but I can't be certain because I don't know exactly where it was sourced. I don't think it's Porterville clay. Here is the interactive map if you want to check it out yourself.

It's not like the soil they have at OCRC, WCRC, or A Main which I would describe as clay and wet.

Where i used to race it was indoor that was ran dry, tires of choice were blue barcodes all around, i preferred using the rips if i wanted smoother steering. The barcodes up front was too much at times. Since moving out to California i have not tried rips, the barcodes (gold) all the way around has been the ticket. So if you want a smoother ride try the rips out.
