Might be heresy to ask this question, but does anyone bash these particular vehicles (buggy since it is out but soon the truggy)? It would be fun to have a 3-diff driveline in a 10th scale basher....

This new ET410 will probably be a good 1/10 basher but I wouldn't try making the buggy a basher unless you add some of the ET410 parts like the new 32p spur gear because the stock eb410 gear would not hold up to bashing very well.

+1

I would compare the ET410 to the HoBao Hyper10TT.... where that platform started out as a race grade platform about 10 years ago... only problem was the design lacked proper team driver support and very few upgrades were made to it over the years. It has since been a bashers delight for the past 5+ years.

I'm thinking that the ET410 will cater to both racers and bashers alike

for the eb410 I know it was discussed that AE pinions worked best. for this beast, are there any pinions brands we should look at in particular? Looking at a 540 2 pole motor (mine will start as a conversion).

Thanks! I had missed that difference. I will wait for the truggy. I was hoping this would be the answer since I use a lot of Tekno parts as upgrades and they are beefier and stronger than most other aftermarket parts.

Thanks Bill. Seems like Tekno is the ideal mfg - really thoughtful design, long term platform support, etc.

Ended up getting a Pro 4. Matt said it is good to go with the RSX w/o issues. So I'm excited.

I thought the Hyper 10TT had a few durability issues, my EB410 seems more durable than the Hyper 10TT. So on that front, I expect the ET410 to be the ultimate basher or 4WD stadium truck racer!

Is the main difference between the Tekin Pro2 and Pro4 just that the Pro2 is a higher revving motor and the Pro4 more of a torquey motor? They're both 4-pole I believe...?

Both 4 pole, yes. And how you explained it is essentially how I also understood the differences as well. Pro 2 a more controlled low end and smooth build. Pro4 harder hitting torque. I could be wrong though.

Pro2 has a 16.5mm rotor, Pro4 has 18.5mm.
