Default Front shock tower

Does anyone have any picks on B6 front shock tower compared to B6.1 front shock tower?

I don't think the front shock towers changed from the B6 to B6.1.

Yes, they changed. They removed outer hole and added inner hole, but i don't know if there's a small geometry change.

that's right, forgot about that. There was more discussion surrounding the difference in the old/new rear tower.

Talking B6.1 Shock Tower

B6.1 shock tower has different mounting positions. The outer hole on the new tower is now the same as the middle hole on the B6 tower. Basically the new tower has an inner adjustment the B6 tower did not have and the old outer hole adjustment position is gone.

Flat arm front shock tower is also quite different from the old front flat shock tower.

Just to be confusing - the gull tower changed but the flat tower holes did not. ie B6 middle hole = B6.1 gull outer hole, B6.1 Flat middle hole.

EDIT: The design of the base of the tower changed from B6 to B6.1 for added strength around the front bulkhead, but the holes themselves did not change so they are interchangeable with the B6 parts.

Has anyone else had any issues with a bind in the standup transmission? I was building it pretty late last night so I gave up trying to find it but when I tighten everything down there is one spot that is hanging up pretty bad. I tried backing the screws off a little but I had to back them pretty far off to get rid of the bind, which scares me to try and run it like that since the shock tower is attached to the top half.

Haven't read this since I first got the kit ( page 50 or so)
The fact there's not much setup conversation is a good thing, as obviously everyone's pretty happy.
I like Ray am in Aussie with Pin tyre dirt, Personally I find the layback good, bought the stand up conversion, but was assembling it only to put it back in the box when I found it didn't have diff height adjustments, From my somewhat limited playing I have found diff height to be a big tuning tool on looser dirt, running pretty much kit setup ( plus Brass C/D, Green v2 rear, alloy b6 hubs at 3mm/1mm ball heights) no lipo weights, I find it much better than the full fruit b6 in 3 or 4 gear.
Anyone else in the same boat or am I just lucky? 7.5t btw

Hello all
About fan placement on B6.1D, which probably been discussed here previously, i have to cut the rear part of my side guard in order to out a motor fan
Is there any fan mount that will let us put a motor fan without cutting here and there and also clear the body well?

My second question
I just did my first race with my B6.1D last weekend
I found out that my front end got a better grip so the rear end got side ways when entering corner
Latter i tried to move upper shock mounts to the most inner holes and it seemed to fix the problem
Is this the correct way to overcome the problem or did i altered to much geometry on the car?
Thank you all for sharing

What do the new springs do? More grip? Are they shorter in length?
