Not much, springs & oils, gear diff, electronics and servo weight (I don't think the 6.1D came with weights) and then maybe anti roll bars - I raced a 6.4 on carpet and liked it without anti roll bars. The axle height on the C was 3/0 but with the D you can run 2 up so quite close.

Thanks. So I do not have to change up the transmission at all? Laydown type???

Sorry yes, i thought you got the laydown and layback gearbox in the box but maybe that was just from the 6.2d onwards.

The shop I think has a 6.3 that I was looking at getting bnb to support the local mom and pop shop but want to be sure I can keep the b6.1(interchangeable parts as needed... spare parts) up and running for a friend to come out with me and I can let them drive that. Looking at getting some friends into the hobby so I won't be lonely lol.
Note that many of the B6.1 parts are still sold as the AE 'builder's kit' for dirt and oval racers. For this reason, I feel pretty good about holding onto my B6.1 for our tight carpet track. Maybe I'll play with the arms and rear arm configuration as mentioned above at some point, but for now the shorter chassis likely helps me far more than updating to the newer B6.3+ cars would, and my level cannot justify a new kit AND the shorter chassis on top.

If I remember correctly, the 6.1D used the longer 31mm rear body shocks, where the carpet car used 27.5mm bodies, but both would have used 27.5mm shafts ... different rear shock towers ... also the steering block was different I think

Here you go, found this tucked away in my files:

Just something to be aware of with the B6 Builders Kit ... the shock package is unique to this kit, 24mm bodies with 21mm shafts ... unlike most of the other AE shock bodies which measure pretty true to their listing size the 24mm bodies actually measure closer to 25mm if I remember correctly ...
