What would be the kit to get for racing on indoor med-high bite clay. And occasionally on carpet

Can the washer marked in red be bought separately?
I believe I´ve heard that Xray has washers that will fit,if yes, what part # should I be looking for?

It is a 5x15 washer that should also be available from non-rc retailers. Just make sure to check the thickness before placing your order.
Other than that, it is most likely 0.5 mm Gear Diff Shims AE #9888

Those shims are actually 5x15x.3.

Do yourself a favor and get either the xray or Serpent ones.

The AE ones “cone” and make the diff feel like junk.

Ive had the same Xray ones in my diff for about 6 months and they are as flat as they started.
I bought a 10 pack and the first night of showing the guys I race with. I had given the ones I hadn’t used away. Lol

I would get the B6.1 kit and add a ball diff for clay and maybe the +1 steering plates. That is what I am currently running on clay. I run the short shocks that came on the car as well...our track is pretty smooth and haven't seen the need to try the long tower and shocks. And of course springs and tires to suit your track. Not sure when the DL is coming out, but that is close to what I run. The DL has long shocks and tower.

Also looks like the b6.1dL has a new laydown transmission thats good for high traction surface, if your running on dirt, you want more of a standup transmission to get more weight to the rear, the layback transmission is common and easy to tune on any surface

IMHO ....not really.... the B6.1 is faster in 180 corners with the stock tranny (dirt wet track) ... all you need to do for more rear traction is too push the battery as close as you can get to the motor and add battery weights... granting you have a good setup.

I'm confused, isnt the "D" designation for dirt? Yet the 6.1DL seems more like a carpet car...... or perhaps the DL is short for "down low" What did I miss?

6.1DL is the 6.1D with the laydown gearbox.

AE has figured a way to sell more kits by changing up the configuration. Smart from a business standpoint to milk as much as they can. Something to think about.

This is a popular configuration that lots of racers put together themselves so if it’s time for a new kit this seems like a good option (is anybody running v2 springs on dirt?). I can’t imagine anyone with a B6.1 in good condition selling it at a loss to get this. There doesn’t seem to be anything really new about it.

In your opinion, is that a deceptive practice?
