I am using a 25 tooth horn, before I pull it out and reset it, is this a common issue? I tested it when I built it and took several goes but the 25 tooth doesn't like being vertical.
When the servo is has no power put the horn on and rotate the shaft till it stops. This will be the farthest left or right the servo can physically go. Pull the horn off the shaft and reinstall the horn so it is fully locked right or left. (Doesn't matter which side) then rotate the horn both ways full lock. The servo should be close to centered based on full lock to lock.
Now plug the servo in the reciever and turn the car on. At this point you should only have to use 1 to 5 clicks of subtrim to completly center the servo. Then adjust your EPA on both sides and your done.

RC Speed Secrets sells a gearbox only kit, and they have a pair of bearings for the inside of the ball diff as well. You just have to buy those two and you’ll be all set.

I bought the full car kit and the 2 extra for inside the diff.

Apart from the fact that the bearings inside a ball diff hardly ever need to spin a full turn and the benefit of ceramics as rather limited, is it so hard to add two 8x5 bearings?

There isn’t any benefit to using ceramic ball bearings in the ball diff. They don’t spin fast enough.

While yes, the bearings inside the diff don’t spin all that much, The OP asked about the bearings inside the diff along with the gearbox, so I was clarifying so that they understood what was needed. No need to get defensive.

While that may be true, the OP was asking about the bearings inside the diff as well. Just giving the info they asked for. To each their own.

Had my first race meeting with a b6.1 and was amazed how well the kit setups went on bumpy astro. I made a few small tweeks buy stayed with the anti roll bars and went to lighter (v1 red front & v1 white rear) springs.

Apart from the top hats coming off of the electronics plate - turns out I installed it upside down, nothing else fell off or broke 😎😎.

I actually put a drop of CA on those just to help keep that from happening when I pull the electronics out.

I just assumed they were bonded in, might not be a bad idea.

Can anyone share what they use to cool down their motor on a B6.1? Fan size, Type of Mount, placement, cost, pros/cons and its effectiveness.
