I am certainly not a T1 expert (or Xray for that matter) either
but looking at this thread and some of the photos
http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ay-t1-828.html
it does appear it is possible to use stick packs with the T1, it also shows a very neat wiring layout.
So if you can set it up like those photos, bring it down, ill be there from 4:30 on Tuesday and we will find you some spurs and pinions that will work as well as some tyres, and get it set up for you so you can get it going.
look for the red hair, you cant miss me.
Beth.

Also if you can please bring your own table and chair as we ran out last week.
We would prefer to keep some tables and chairs available for novices and visitors so if a few regulars bring there own we can everyone happy.
If you have a private table stored at the track mark it clearly and we can look at storing these separate from club tables.

Hi all, I've just moved to Sydney from Auckland (pause for the applause), I've been involved in RC a long time but haven't raced seriously since I was 14-15 about 13-14 years ago.
Could someone point me in the right direction, what are the biggest classes in NSW?
I have a serpent S411 FF which I've put a 21.5 into and I'll run that in blinky just till I get my groove back. But scaling into more serious classes is touring the biggest 1/12th? Or something else

12th scale at Championship level is Modified only. It is very rare to see 12th Mod raced on a club day anywhere. There is currently a push (of which I am a part) to run 10.5 blinky 1S as a spec 12th scale class, with the aim of making it more accessible. This is a format run in Europe, so you'll sometimes see it called Eurostock. We're having some success with this, and have good numbers at another club in Sydney (as well as two clubs in the Hunter and a few in Qld), but haven't quite got critical mass at SMA yet.
A class that's bigger than everything but TC in Sydney at the moment is Formula 1. This class is run as 21.5 2S blinky (and is not that much slower than the spec 12th cars). F1 is usually rubber tyres only, and is particularly popular at SMA where there are usually 2 heats.
Other classes you might see from time to time include Tamiya Mini (which was a National class for a short run up until last year but has now faded in popularity), World GT, LeMans (LeMans run occasionally at another club in Sydney). There is also VTA, which is just Touring Car (21.5 blinky) with a higher weight limit, retro bodies and a control tyre. I haven't seen a specific FWD class run in about a year, but of course you can race a FWD in TC.
