There was a couple of fellas at the track last Satdy who mentioned they were heading to your track for the open day on Sunday.. are they something thats more frequent these days?

Yes we will be having more FunDays Doc and No you don't instantly get a key if ya join, there are other hoops to jump throu before ya quallify for a key.

The main objective of the FunDays is to have a buddy system for the new guys and meet the members, also to learn tuning, set up etc from the regulars and get an idea of negotiating a propper track with out feeling intimidated by being thrown in with the more experianced at a propper race meet.

It's more of a no pressure relaxed RC FUN with help if needed type day.

A lot of new guys bork from racing because they feel not good enouph (I know I felt it when I first started) so this is a way in to racing with out the pressure and to build confidence to return full time and possibly join the club.

hi guys, has anyone used the go .21 pullstart motor? i think its only $145 from rchobbies, but it will be for my dad who i'm trying to get into the hobby so nothing crazy just a after a cheap reliable motor, doesn't even need to be fast :lol:

edit - will be mounted to a hot bodies d8, recommendations for a cheap pipe will be appreciated.

The GO .21 3 Port Sport motors with pull start are a great motor. Pretty stout performance for an RTR style motor, and would be plenty of power for what you have described.
I have sold a few of the .28 3 Port Sports for truggies and monster trucks, and the customers have loved them.
There is a backplate kit available for these motors too (.21 & .28), so you can convert for starter box use and get a bit more power from it by removing the pull start and one-way bearing assembly if required.
I would go for it (no pun intended) :p
