It was always my understanding that when we voted to adopt IFMAR rules there would be a 12 month delay. That is we would always be a year behind IFMAR. This has been the case previously with such changes as INS boxes on Tourers, 8th scale body height and the measuring of the wing overhang on tourers.

Is this not the case now?

Harry I really would like to come down but getting time off for work is getting harder now. And I know that good feeling when driving on a flat awesome surface also

The weights are the only IFMAR rules change to adopted immediately by the look of this. It is worth noting that a new IFMAR rule for 1:10 IC on-road is that bodies must be made from polycarbonate with a minimum thickness of 0.75mm (average). This effectively rules lightweight bodies out.

But perhaps it would be more appropriate to bring this discussion to the http://www.rctech.net/forum/australi...nline-285.html.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

Long day at the track today, surface is starting to rubber up quite well with plenty of grip.
Some fast laps where recorded by both 1/8th and 1/10th and its looking good.

Regarding the updated rules, we follow AARCMCC as they are our governing body.
I have posted my opinions on AARCMCC online as I think this is the best place to discuss
these topics.

Quite a few quality drivers on the list now...........

There is only 10 days to go before the entry are closed and late fees will apply.
Get those entries in as soon as possible.

We are having our first club day of the year this Sunday, feel free to get down for
some final running before the event officially kick off.

We expect to finish the last 1/8th finals by about 5pm. This gives us 1 hour up our
sleeves for any delay. Engines must be shut off at 6pm due to our noise restriction
policy. Friday will be open practice with qualifying kicking off on Saturday.

Hope you can make it Kane and bring some of the NSW boys down for some fun.
