why is every hitec servo that I have put in my cars in the past year now sitting on my workbench in the junk bin. These servos are from bottom cheap ones all the way up to digital. The biggest problem is that after a while they no longer seem to be able to locate center. This does not bode well for a throttle servo. All the metal gear ones are still under warranty but unfortunately I don't save reciepts that long.

How many servos are "junk", and hold old are they?

Jram, I don't know dude. Which models are they and were they all used in a gas vehicle for throttle?? Throttle servos are the most abused servos going. I am still not sure what ppl are doing to their servos. I used Hitec servos for 4 years before becoming part of the team and never had a problem. My original 605 MG still works fine and its one of my loaner servos. Each time I lend it out tho I make sure that the person using it has the EPA's set properly on the servo. It is now 6.5 years old and has been used in most anything you can think of except 1/8th. That servo was just not designed to be used in that application.
Also, you can send in your servos to be fixed, just let our service dept know that you no longer have the receipt. We'll get em fixed up for you.

Well here's the list: I have an HS-5925MG that went away in my TA04 at the Tamiya race in Penn. An HS-605BB went away in my F1 At the TCS race in WI. An HS-5925MG that was my throttle servo. An HS-300 that broke in a Losi XXXT MF truck. A HS- 615MG and an HS-605MG as well from a Kinwald Buggy and a touring car. Don't get me wrong when they work they work good, but it gets expensive replacing a servo at the track when you don't have a good selection to get a good servo.
