If it's the old gray carpet you may even be able to drop to a 2 line. Basically the more grip the stronger rotor.
I'm really surprised you're up to 45* on the endbell. Typically 25* on the endbell is usually pretty good with a 4.8 to 4.9 RO on a 140'RL Have you tried something close to that? At 45* on the endbell did you try going down to 4.2? The other thing I'm thinking about is maybe keeping the RO but drop 2* (1/2 line on endbell).

If you're on the new CRC black carpet you may want to try a 12.5 4 line.

With everything mentioned, we did finish 1st in the A main and put down the fastest lap during the day. The motor performed great, and I know there is a lot left ... We just need more track time to find it. As always, thanks for everything.

Gearing and Timing
Sorry for tge delay. Got back from ROAR Nats and had to catch up on all the oders from that week.

I will have all the gearing and timing info for you we ran when I get home from work today.
Dayno
The rotors are very strong and will give you a thump or drag feel because of that. Had one customer send me a motor back for same reason and everything was fine. I will be more than happy to check it out for you.

Thanks John I appreciate the offer to check it out. I took it apart last night and found nothing wrong. No debris other than normal fuzz and the bearings spun perfect and felt good on the rotor. I oiled the bearings and put it all back together and at this point think I think something else was happening.

Gearing
Here is a range of gearing and timing we ran at the ROAR Off Road Nats held at Hobby Plex
B5M/B6/Xray XB4 2wd/Kyosho RB6 17.5 69/30 timing ranged from 38 to 45 degrees of timing (different drivers liked different timing)
T5M 81/27 to 29 and 76/27 Kyosho RT6 timing 30 to 40 degrees
SC5M 81/28-30 and Kyosho SC6 78/27-29 Timing 30 to 40 degrees
All settings were based on different drivers.
What is the size of your track and how is the Bite?

Our bite ranges from mid to high bite, but lately it's been more middle of the road. We used to run slicks but it's been a tread-friendly track for the past ~3 months (clay compound Electrons have been the favorites for buggies). I don't know the total length of the track but it has 5 180* turns and would probably be a small/medium sized track.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to John and Wayne and TSR for amazing products as usual! Last weekend John Wiita and I traveled to Dallas for the Fullthrottle Championship and we were able to put our TSR powered cars on the podium!!
Results:
Stock 12th
1st - John Wiita - TSR Team Driver
2nd - Kevin Van Ert - TSR Team Driver
Mod 12th
3rd - John Wiita - TSR Team Driver (running 6.5 blinky)
4th - Kevin Van Ert - TSR Team Driver (running 6.5 blinky)
Our Team Scream power was on point all weekend! John and I both ran 4 line rotors (~1600) timed at between 38-42 degrees.
Thanks again John and Wayne!

At NORCAR's Summer Slam there were TSR, Novak, and Motive motors in F1 and VTA. All the motors could produce close to the same hot lap, but the TSR was stronger during the run. In VTA the TSR was almost .3 faster the last 30 seconds and in F1 .1/.2 faster the last minute.
