Team Scream Racing

Hey Guys!!
I thought I'd take a minute and let you guys know about one of my sponsors, Team Scream. I've been running for John at Team Scream for a few years now and seen his company grow leaps and bounds!! He is involved with 1/18, 1/16, 1/12, 1/10, and 1/8 racing. Right now with the lipos being the new thing he has come up with some of the best batteries I've run. They are not purchased and relabled, but designed to be the lowest IR out there. I've used both the single cell and 2 cell packs and can't say enough good things about them. John is also involved with brushless motors, 17.5, 13.5, and 10.5's. Those are Duo based as are most out there. I have taken over the tuning for Team Scream because of the workload of the lipos he has. Right now there are motors in stock ready to ship!! If you guys would like to check out his website it's: http://www.teamscreamracing.com/ The motors may not be listed, but you can contact myself or Team Scream directly to order them. If you guys have any questions or comments feel free!!

Motor tuning

Just to answere a few questions about the motors and what are done to them...

all motors are taken apart
rotors are measured
can inductance is measured
bearings cleaned/or replaced
rotor shafts polished when needed
everything gets put back togather/reshimmed by matching up rotors and cans
all the motors are dynoed
timing is set for max. wattage output at a fixed load

If you guys have anyother questions feel free to post them.

Motors

Wanted to let everyone know that Wayne set all of my motors for my WGT car before I went to the IIC in Las Vegas this year as well as help me with speed control setups and I was able to place 4th in the "c" Main at my first big race in a long time as well as my first time with 1 s Lipos. Waynes motors are fast and he knows how to set them up. keep up the great work and thanks for all the help over the years Wayne and Tyler.

Battery Info

Wayne called me and asked if I could post the Battery Info on the 7.4V and 3.7V lipo packs.

I use the GFX, Cycle settings 6.0 Amp Charge 35 Amp Discharge. Sensor Leads are connected to the bullet connector at the top of the pack. I do not heat the packs or charge and discharge before I start the cycle. I cycle the pack 2 times because they come with a charge in them from the factory. I let the pack sit for about 3 hours before the 2nd cycle is started. I send the data from the GFX to my computer after the cycle is done. The label is printed for each pack so my customers can see what they are getting.

Here is a sample of the numbers I am getting from each pack

3.7V 5000 40C
AVG DISCHARGE VOLTAGE 3.69
RUNTIME (SEC) 497
MAH 4831
IR 3.7

7.4V 5000 45C
AVG DISCHARGE VOLTAGE 7.47
RUNTIME (SEC) 541
MAH 5259
IR 4.7

1/18 SCALE BATTERIES AND LIPO PACKS

TSR 1500 Matched 2/3A Cells are done the same way, just using a Turbo Matcher with the settings at 3.0 amp charge rate, 15 amp discharge, .90 voltage cut, 5000 sec runout. These cells speak for them selves with a 23 Micro National Titles under there belt.

TSR 1500'S
RUNTIME (SEC) 330-350
VOLTAGE 1.19-1.20+ (BATCH I JUST FINISHED 97% 1.20+)
IR 4.0-4.6

CHARGE/EQUALIZE/STORAGE INFO

A “NEW” Pack when received should be discharged and fully Equalized until the pack is cool before Starting step 1

1 Charge at 3.0 amps with a 40 MV peak detect
2 Run your pack then discharge it at 15 amps (10 will be fine as well) to 5.4 volts for a 6 Cell Pack
3 Equalize the pack right after you discharge it with a Tekin Mini Battery Tray
4 When the pack is cool repeat step 1 and race your pack again if you plan on running it for the 2nd time in one day.
5 If you are storing the pack until the next time you race (5-7 Days) Leave the remainder of the charge from your race in it for storage.
6 When you are ready to race, discharge the pack at 15 amps (10 will be fine as well) to 5.4 volts
7 Equalize the pack with a Tekin Mini Battery Tray until it is cool.
8 Charge it at 3.0 amps with a 40 MV peak detect and you are ready to race.
9 Long periods of storage: Fully Charge Pack and Start and step 1 when used again.
The Tray makes a huge difference

There are the other 1/18 scale lipo packs I carry

TSR 1800 MAH 35C HARD CASE 7.4V
TSR 900 MAH 30C 7.4V
TSR 1800 MAH 30C 7.4 SADDLE PACK

I hope I covered everything, if any one has any other questions please feel free to email me.
