As to name; IGT would be better than just GT, IMO.

I might also suggest we contact ROAR to see if the Nitro On Road director (or atleast a Regional Director) could be part of this as well. Would help get the spec's addopted and facilitated with in ROAR.
The only reason I would shy away from naming it IGT is due to the other cars that are allowed in the class. Ofna DM-1 & GTP, Team C GT8L & GT8, Serpent Cobra GT, and other 1/8 buggy conversions. So dropping the "Inferno" name is more welcoming to more cars.

It would be great to get ROAR involved. But even without ROAR I believe if this continues the way it started, it'll be something truly spectacular for the GT class.

GTNational Series Rules; I chose this name... it signifies and represents all of us and a new start...
You can call it bill and teds toy car circus for all I care...
But give us a name... something we can all stand under as a group... Unified and legitimate

I like IGT, for International Grand Tourismo/Touring !!
International is welcoming to the world. IMO.

We trying to go World Wide-IFMAR, AND ROAR!!!

Imagine having a actual World event in some exotic place and getting Crowned WORLD CHAMPION!!

Plus our class already world wide, with races in Peru, Puerto Rico and Ecuador this year alone. Not to mention the European countries and Asia.

My 2 cents about the Class name

GT is already taken by 10th scale GT, which I believe it's a Trade mark of HPI, for the reason most ppl think a GT is 10th scale GT electric powered at least around me .

Charles Barnes, who helped HPI launching GT class suggested "GT8" about 2 years ago, IGT sounds like short for Inferno GT, then GTI actually was used by ppl before where I stands for IC(Internal Combustion) so few Electric Powered GT racers call their machine GTE.

if we going to incld GTE to the race together then I suggest GT8, if not GTI should be name for the class or race we going to organize.

I understand we have to get things started here first, but why not start with a name thats shows we are serious and shows the direction we want the class to be in.

As for IFMAR or ROAR they have done nothing to help our class yet. If and when I hope they do take over they can say we started right.

All IMO.

UNGT-United Nations of GT.

Truely it doesn't matter as long as it works to grow the class.

AGT8......AmericanGT8.....America (North)....America (South) and in between. I'm seeing that include our Canadian and South American racers. I'm watching for some input from Pato also, his group have been strong GT proponents in South America. Go big.
