Been on the Tamiyas a while, and going well with them. Anyway decided to put my old T3 back together, old does not always mean slow, know what I mean? Box stock set up apart from MM450 oil all round. Med/high traction carpet the car was exactly as I remembered..outstanding.

Got a fortune for my 416X lipo conversion and bought a T3'11 conversion...

Problem is I can't fault the stock T3'10.

Really is it better, or is it a case of 'My new car is so much faster' new toy syndrome?

I'd like to hear opinions from folks who went from '10 to '11, some local drivers say its amazing, a couple actually regret selling their T3's

I have to say I much prefer the way the car drives with the steering set up on the 11 compared the the T3 '10' not sure why though The car works great straight out of box. I keep thinking of trying the 417 but I then I think I won't go any faster so why change when the Xray works well

417 flies, carries serious corner speed, but requires more from the driver to exploit the limits of the car..its made me a better driver. T3 is so easy to drive. Wasn't interested in the '11 purely because I don't like the way the electronics have to be laid out but got a Tamiya style steering mod on an Italian website so I'm going to fit that and the '11 conversion tomorrow and try it Tuesday. Must say I'm curious

I ran a 6.5 fdr last weekend with a 10.5 at an asphalt track that had about a 100-110 ft. straight. 114/33 and was very fast with boost. Motor temps were very low. Hope that helps.
