STNLST - Yes! The new bearings are much better than the old bearings. I only sprayed and removed the inside shields for the diff bearings, and fully de-shielded the spur bearings, and my car already rolls just as well, if not better than my old xxx-s, with all inner shields removed.

I didn't even spray out or deshield the bearings in the hubs!

TSR6- Hey you forgot one "L" in my name.....lol I'm thinking of taking the shields off but it seems to be just fine right now. I may spray them out closer to a big race but for the club level racing I'm going to leave them alone....on the other hand it couldn't hurt to just do the one's you did. The car is already apart for my monthly cleaning. Any other suggestion before I put it back together later on tonight??????

Nothing that I can think of for you. I also just took apart about 1/2 the car for cleaning and re-lubing. I re-did all the bearings.. but after one club race, and the Novak USTC champs, they were all perfect.

Stlnlst- correction, I haven't finished a main yet and it wasn't the cars fault. I only ran it the one weekend in stockton and if I remember right I was in the A both races with a car I've never run before that, where were you?

Is there a servo saver for the XXXs other than the the stock Losi bit? I think the 414 II will work but it is the same style as the Losi.

The ones I've seen are either too large or do not have enough tension for the digital servo.

I haven't had a problem with the stock servo saver. You just need to make sure you have all 3 springs in the saver, and have the outside washer on it. Those are the two msot common mistakes I've done ( ) / seen.

I found that one of the silver springs leading edges were bent up and they caught on the lip of the saver. I swaped the two silver springs but there seems to be a little bit of play in the saver??

3 springs.

2 silver, and one gold if i remember right.

Only using two gives it too much play. I had mine setup with 2 when i originally built my first x-s ..

I'm using all three...just noticed that one of the silver springs leading edges were bent up and were catching. When I swaped the two silvers it fixed the catching problem but even with all three springs it is a little sloppy. Maybe taking them on and off a couple of hudred times trying to figure out what was binding stretched them a bit!! LOL I did try to pinch them tighter!!
