Yes. They just opened up their indoor track. It is very nice. It was so nice that I bought the Losi to use this winter. I am a rookie at racing the sedan's but so far I have had a lot of fun. I have a 4wd truck but its just to unfriendly outside to use if for long periods of time. I am going back this Saturday to race and learn some more.

Here are some pics of the track.

MaxxGold-did you attend the race this past Sunday? looks like you did, or you just got the pics off of the Debbie's website. Are you planning to race your XXX-S there? I might be racing there if I get an electric tourer.

We raced on Saturday. Yes I am going this Saturday to race again. I believe that the races are held only on Saturday. I think you can go in and use the track anytime that Debbies is open.

Ya, i went to the Debbies site and they said as long as the store is open you can practice. Although I thought that the races were on Sundays?

Default soME QUERIES

Hello Team Losi people,

I would like some help if any of you can offer.

I have a XXX-SG+ (actually 2 - 1 for spares).

I am running KO PROPO gear (esc, servo, radio with a 8T 3W yokomo motor. (The truth is I am still a newbie - only 4 months into this Hobby). I have managed to shear the rear diff. spool to pieces running this config.

I have the car geared at 9.6 and heavilly compensated with the esc setting. I know becos after 5 runs the brushes are holding up quite well.

What I have on the car are metal hop ups on the ackermann arms, Frt. an RR knuckles. The metal thingy that locks the rim (i don't know what its called) and of course the black belt conversion.

What i would like to know:

1. what's the black belt thingy for - the shop guys tell me its better but they can give me a qualititive explanation.

2. How to build a solid axle for the front. I tried with the Losi instructions using the optional rough gasket. After awhile it slipped like a regular ball diff. Is this an optional eqmt?

3. How long more do you guys thing this car will be current before it expires?

Thanks in advance for any response

Later,

That car needs snow tires...he, he...

Interesting about the placement of your front (missing) and rear (laid over) body posts. Gonna have to put holes in that nice body some day.

Redalert-- I used the spool pads in my spool this past year with these exceptions. First, I used the steel outdrives as I kept shattering the plastic ones. Second, I bought 60 grit sandpaper to make my next set of pads and after assembling the spool I used CA glue to glue the diff halves to the diff gear. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU BUILD THE SPOOL TO OFFSET THE OUTDRIVE SLOTS 90 DEG. I.E. When you look at the spool you can only see one set of outdrive slots at one time. I cannot tell you why this works just that every time I built a spool with the slots evenly spaced I ended up toasting the spool. Some of my Losi buddies in Tulsa turned me onto this trick and it worked.

This is just my opinion but I would suggest you get a milder mod or even a 19 turn motor to start with so you can get used to the car and tuning it plus driving it instead of spending your time repairing it. An 8 turn is heaps of power and very hard on the car. Good Luck!

what do you guys use for lubricant in your diffs? Do you wall use the red losi grease like your suppose to. I just rebuilt them with WD-40 and they are horrible so im going to use some lithium grease this time instead. Also anyone know of a place that has the black belt conversion for a cheap price and in stock?

I use Asc. Stealth lube on the diff balls and the losi tan grease on the thrust assembly.

Incredible paint job on Saleen. May I ask how you got the textured effect on front hood.
