Hey thanks tc3stocker.
I finally ordered my car today. Paid to have it shipped express so I should have it by the end of the week. I also ordered my rc screwz kit today also.
I use to have an xxx-s that was converted to all graphite awhile ago. But I had got it in a trade and allot of the upgrades were already done. The only thing I had done was the screw kit.
Heres a few pics.

Is there not that many xxx-s owners anymore??
One ting I was thinking they need...
to update. On carpet the material around the bearings wears out quickly, diffs get really sloppy and you have to buy a whole new chassis. Maybe if they made an softer insert to go around the bearings, something that's not so hard and that wears out fast. Just a thought.

All I can say is that if your diffs become sloppy or grindy its time to clean them or replace the bearings. You would have to take the bearings apart clean them out with motor spray then oil or grease the bearings. Oiling them will make them smoother cause there is less friction and then lets them spin faster. But you just have to clean and replace the oil more often. Like once every other month. There are alot of other things to make better diffs.

I am running the xxxs, with prp towers and tamiya shocks. The care to me feel so much better and definitely more consistant. The extra adjustments for camber on the prp towers are very nice too. The tamiyas are super smooth, I hope the shocks on the jrxs are just like them.
hey guys, quick question about front caster...
i have using the kit 4' spindles on the front on a large flowing track, i recently got the 6' spindles. which would benefit me more? large, flowing track = more or less caster?... can't really track test them now because it's been raining...

I was just looking at some of the carpet setups on Losi's website. It looks like alot of the guys lately are running their ackerman setting "forward (flipped)". Could anyone explain to me what the "flipped" means???
Thanks!
Thanks!

What it changes, is the akerman setting of the front wheels. It will now increase the turning radius of the inside wheel and lessen the outside wheel.
I personally do not like that set up on my car. I have found the regular ackerman setting is better, because it does not scrub the inside tire as bad. Especially in tight 180* turns.
I run on indoor carpet with foam tires and high traction.
I hope I was able to make you understand the concept a little more. Someone else may have different results, but that is what I have found.

doorman, thanks bud. I understand ackerman very well, just wasn't sure what part they were flipping, and which way. They're just getting more ackerman effect than the standard settings will allow is all. I'm on a super high bite carpet track with foams as well... I might try this on Thursday just to see how it is. I'd guess more mid corner steering, and may want to hook a little more coming out? I could be way off though, so I'll just have to try it and find out!
I have 4 or maybe 5 XXX-S's for sale. PM me or send me an email if you are interested. My email is [email protected]
all of the cars are in great shape and some are new. I also have one lot of parts (over $400 worth) that I am going to sell for cheap. I am switching manufactuerers, and need to get rid of these cars, so they are going cheap ($160-$200) $200 for a brand new car never been run, with lots of hop-ups. send me an email if you are interested.
