Right front hub, an HBI employee races at the track and helped me out with an extra one he had, otherwise I'd still not be racing. HBI promises the parts and hop ups will be available soon. Usually the parts come in before the kits, not this time?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...FVSEARCH=73501

the part number for the gears are HPI73501

not sure about the spool However, I found this on Tower's site - http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVGX3&P=7 - I wonder if it will work (obiviously with change the gear to plastic) with the Cup Racer??

It would be great to have some kind of master list of cross compatibility. I wonder if Yokomo SD, or TC3,TC4 diffs might fit in the car too. Im pretty sure anything HB/HPI thats shaft drive will likely work. Er as far as diffs and spools go.

I guess I'll be the first to post a 510 here. Finished it Saturday night, drove it at the track on Sunday. Very fun to drive. I swapped out the kit tires for HPI radials on Kawada rims. Looks sharp and handles good. Gotta try that Pro 4 mod. My only gripe is the shocks. Those d%@* eclips drove me crazy! Probably the thing that I spent the most time on when building the car. I like how all the adjustments can be made with the inserts. Got mine set up with the front shocks upright. The car handles very well and I had a lot of guys asking about the car. Hopefully it will gain interest and we can start a class here. On to the pics:

Thank you for the info.
Are you sure both these items will work?
On the spool, do you think the plastic will hold up to racing?

Nice. Reminds me of my dad's car when I was a wee little lad.

I noticed another little 'mod' on your car

Who's turnbuckles are you using in the rear?

and did it help taking those "pins" out of the front suspension??

Hey Pete - I just noticed that you talked about doing the same paint scheme as I'm getting done on my 240z Didn't notice this earlier - becuase I was holding out for the 510 - but just looked and saw it now.

I'll post pics when its finished
