Learned my lesson today. I have been out of racing for over 20 years. I have had my TC6.1 built for a month now but my schedule has not allowed me to get out to the track yet. So I took it to a vacant parking lot today to run it a little. It only took a few minutes for it to start making a loud rasping noise, kind of like a playing card in bicycle spokes. Took it back home to find small rocks stuck in both the front and rear belt pullies and the spur gear ruined. I guess touring cars are just not meant for anything but a prepared track. I do not remember my old 1/12th or 1/10th scale pan cars being so sensitive to debris.
Hopefully I will get to the track next weekend.

I honestly avoid it if possible.

DCJ's
I have seen a few guys posting that they have fitted the HB DCJ's in the TC6.1's but they are really expensive, does anyone know if the Tamiya 44mm DCJ's will fit ?

That's a pretty general question.
If you could share your setup with us it would be much easier to answer.

Add or go thicker on the swaybars, and try running less droop all around. Those seem to make the biggest difference to me (besides ride height, of course)!
Did you race last Sunday at RCAR? I'm not good with screennames to faces bring the car over next time you're in town and we'll take a look!
Edit: The setup sheet loads blank on my phone.... sorry!

I've never been much of a swaybar person. Perhaps I will try it.
I was also running a pretty heavy body which I've switched out. Wonder if perhaps that was making me a bit top heavy and causing it to roll more?

It was meant to be more of a general "what influences that" type question. But I am running mostly this setup but with the roll center changed to 3A:

A lightweight body will help a lot.
A wider track width will help also (shims on bulkhead) I see bob is just running offset mounts with no shims on that setup.

I didn't. Wu and I should be there this weekend if I can fight whatever I'm sick with. You don't need to recognize my face. Just look for the Tamiya blue muchmore bling and fancy pit board.

A heavy body will also cause those issues. I think I remember you ran an NSX? I DEFINITELY remember the F1 style pit board! Most of those bodies used in GT weigh 90-115g painted.... Weigh yours and see!

Yeah the pactra white is what I used. It's a tamiya body and I think their lexan is a bit thicker. Plus it had a ton of stickers and the plastic that goes down the back of the body. I'll run with the new body before making adjustments. Not too worried about it on the carpet. Just wanted to know in case I need to make adjustment for asphalt.
